John 5:39 “You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life”
John 5:39 “the Father who sent me has himself borne witness to me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen”
John 6:63 “the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life”
John 15:7 “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you”
Matthew 17:20 “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from hence to yonder place,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
John 12:47"If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life.
NB: God the Father spoke life into existence
Yes the Bible is God inspired made for the purpose of getting us to heaven.
God the Father did speak life into existence God said and it shall be done. The Will of God is in the Father… Jesus did the will of Our Father when He sacrificed Himself for our sins. But it is the Holy Spirit that is the breath of God that Creates and has spoken through the Prophets… Jesus is the Word, the Visible Image of the Invisible God, that all of Creation has been made through…
but it is through Jesus and John 5:39 “You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life”
Now when you are referencing the Word you are referencing to Jesus who is The Word of God…
Actually God though God said there be life it is the Holy Spirit which ‘breathed life’ into existence. Genesis 2:7*then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground,[a] and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.
Here we see the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit working together as One.
And the bible was inspired by God… You could also say ‘God-breathed’ instead of 'inspired. The word Inspired is in reference to the Holy Spirit who is the ‘giver of life’.
2 Timothy 3: 16*All scripture is inspired by God and is[a] useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Now the Holy Spirit has Spoken through the Prophets speaks of Inspired ‘the Breath of God’… who has spoken through the Prophets who shared Gods word with us through the Bible which is the 'written Word of God". That’s why the Bible is not just any book but a Spiritual book meant to bring about the Salvation of Souls. That’s correct, but we can’t ignore the historicity of the Bible because it records the actual accountings of mankind’s interactions with God which is the evidence of the journey of faith which we continue on. Our actions are a result of our Spirit, and so they can’t be ignored because many truths will be passed by… You mentioned yourself about discerning the Spirits. How could anyone possibly discern the spirits if they don’t observe actions? Not that I’m an expert on discerning spirits but I know what is a godly action.
All the words in the bible are spirit and life, not just the ones which are spiritually lifting. We can’t acknowledge some without acknowledging the others which we don’t think are ‘important’ to our faith journey. There is the historical true story of the building up the Church upon the Rock “Peter”, which is quite clearly seen in Acts. which can’t be ignored because our own personal faith journey doesn’t agree with that.

I mean if a person really wants to know the truth, they will seek it and well we are all seekers on that journey. To quench the Spirit is to stop the journey towards the truth.
