Again, I ask: Who determined the chair is (presumably) empty?
The Catholic Church did through Paul IV (4) in his writing “Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio” declaring that anyone who seems to be elected to the Papacy, if he is a heretic, the election shall be considered Null and Void.
Please look it up because I am sick of telling people this.

Thanks

Either Christ Himself will have to show us or elect the Pope Himself.
Or the world will end and the last Judgement will take place.
Jom, now again let’s stay on subject, are you saying other than God writing it in the sky with fire, we wont know how the next Pope will be elected?

Or God somehow showing us who should be elected by some other way. BTW I never said it would be with fire.
I don’t pretend to know the future, I only trust in Divine Providence and the Church’s Dogmas

Thanks

ok but you agree you dont know how the Pope will be elected-- correct?

Please let me respond to the other persons comments. It’s not my fault that she did not stay on subject.
Or is that not allowed by you.:tiphat:
Go ahead then. You haven’t responded yet. Who declared to you that the chair of Peter is vacant; when was it declared;: in what sort of documentaion was it declared? It has not been declared by anyone.

Who declared to you that the chair of Peter is vacant;
Pope Paul IV
when was it declared
15th February 1559
in what sort of documentaion was it declared?
An Apostolic Constitution called “Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio”
It has not been declared by anyone.
o k never mind!!

It’s odd how you ask me all these questions but then declare that you apparently know the answer already. Do you actually want to hear an explanation or just make your own proclamations to be believed by everyone. I’m sorry about your lack of wanting to see truth.

Thanks
:bounce:

What if all your “cardinals” and “bishops” and “priests” and almost everybody who called themselves Catholic died the day before they were supposed to elect another “pope”. The “pope” is already dead and you have no visible hierarchy and almost no visible laity. How are you supposed to elect another “pope”.

You have declared men to be heretics. You. Jim28. Sure. If you sounded even a little humble in promoting your false beliefs then I think I would feel a little sorry for you. As it is - no.

If a pope would become a heretic he would be self-judged no different than any other heretic.

Canon 188.4 deals specifically with offices. “By tacit resignation, accepted by the law itself, all offices become vacant ipso facto and without any declaration if a cleric… publicly defects from the Catholic Faith.”

She doesn’t care about that, nothing that you can quote from the Catholic Church is going to change her infallible mind that the “chair is not vacant”

It’s sad:crying:

True…but others might care. And also…I believe in miracles. 🙂

You are supposed to pity even the most evil of sinners. One can see a persons true colors when that person refuses to show charity.
I’m sorry about that!
Pity? You mean pray for, don’t you? Give me your teachings on pity, Scripture and Tradition.

ok—I have a question for the sedevacantist-----(let’s try to stay on topic here --please dont answer my question with a question just simply answer the question) Most sedevacantists believe the last Pope was Pius XII. for over 500 years the Church law has been that the Cardinals elect the Pope. The oldest Cardinals alive are appointed by Paul VI (who you do not believe is a valid Pope) so there are no cardinals alive(according to you). Who is going to elect the next Pope in your opinion and why??? also it has been over 50 years–if there are electors alive(whoever they may be) why havent they elected a Pope??? ssssssssshhhhhh let the sedevacantist answer---------ssssssshhhhhh
The answer we have all been waiting for.

“I announce to you a great joy. We have a pope! The Most Reverend Father Lucian Pulvermacher, O.F.M., Cap., priest of the Holy Catholic Church, born April 20, 1918 and ordained on June 5, 1946, who takes the name Pius XIII.”

Ri-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght !

You should pity them because they are on the way to hell. Simple logic tells you that. Unless you don’t care about their soul.👍

Either Christ Himself will have to show us or elect the Pope Himself.
Or the world will end and the last Judgement will take place.
Do you believe that the Church, in her essential structure and teachings, will last until the end of time?

Yes

Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

The structure may be slightly different, we may be without a pope or visible hierarchy from now until the end.
