Modern Jews seem to more often resemble the Sadducees (i.e. liberals and ‘free-thinkers’).

We cannot judge the Jewish people by the actions of a few liberal film actors, activists and billionaires who grab a disproportionate number of headlines.

If you are interested in studying the thorny question of Jewish-Catholic relations further, I would recommend a book entitled “Salvation Is From The Jews” by Roy Schoeman.
