Now Blacks “hate” Whites … Source please. Or why do you say this?

no time for further comment but racism is racism…

is it human nature to hate…Really–this has not been my experience.

further comments later…

I have been accused of being a racist just because I’m white. Isn’t that racist itself?

I think what happens is some vocal people of race A hate people of race B, so then the people of race B think (perhaps racistly, if that’s even a word) that everyone from race A is racist. This could in turn lead to everyone from race B hating people of race A, it’s a vicious cycle.

Is there a point to this thread, other than to state the obvious?

Or do some people actually think that racism doesn’t exist, regardless of the “color” of the person harboring the racist attitude?

Or, perhaps, has the term “racist” been so thrown about in our society that it doesn’t quite have the impact or meaning it once did? Seems like the smallest public disagreement about policy or what have you between politicians of different races and out comes the “racist” accusation. One can only cry wolf so many times…

i have never been prejudiced against Blacks… In fact, there have been times in my life when i actually preferred to spend time with Blacks over my own people… (as it were… i hate saying that because there is really no such thing as “your people” & “mine” in God’s eyes… )

anyhow… sometimes in a public place, i notice that when certain Blacks see me (& other Whites) they just start acting negatively… Why thye would assume i myself… am prejudiced just because i am White … well, Ok, i can u/stand it to some extent… because of all they went through & still go through…

but anyhow, another thing they sometimes do when around Whites is start talking loudly and in that “Black dialect”… as ifthey are saying, “You are NOT one of us”…

then i see Blacks on the i-net… going (seemignly ) only to “Black” sites…

They read a lot of books like Ebony…

What if there was a mag called Ivory… about (featuring mostly) White people?? there would be a terrible uproar…

true nuff…

read my last post for further enlightenment about why this (original) Post…

Bishop Sheen has explained that the definition of the word diabolical is to rend apart, or to split asunder. That is what Satan does. Between black and white, between husband and wife, between children and parents, etc. etc. ulitimately to cause a split between Christ and His Body, the Church .
When you see the diabolical, working to split us apart, pray to the Virgin and to the Holy Spirit that all become one, as Jesus and the Father are one…

This sounds a lot like a Dr Seuss book. : )

mistake: meant to say magazines like Ebony…

that’s my point…

it seems when i am beig treated unjustly - as described in Post 8…

that i am being the victim of racism…

yet no one seems to want to talk about this kind of racism…

If a Black person did something rude and i “called him/her on it”…

the 1st thing a lot of people (both Black and White) would think is: she’s racist…

when really i am not racist but rude-ist… 😃

I agree.
As I have said on another thread:

“The demon of bigotry is an equal opportunity exploiter. Anyone can fall under its evil grip no matter what color your skin is or religion you are, and anyone willing to listen to his teachings will become a mindless hatemonger.”

My own father who marched for civil rights in the 1960s later in the 1990s became a victim of racism because his skin color was “white.” This didn’t change his mind about equality and it shouldn’t change ours. Whole “races” are not total bigots (black, white, or otherwise), and bigots will always try to justify their hatemongering. The truth is there is no justification in bigotry. No matter who is doing it.

that last point in your post is the main point i was trying to make…

a lot of Whites and Blacks both excuse Blacks for rude behavior… just because of “well, look what thye’ve been through.”

Excuse me… but*** i*** didn’t do it… I’m not guilty…

and even if i had been guilty (i mean my ancestors) … there is such a thing as repentance…

it seems that when one group is no longer oppressed but even (in some cases) actually in power over the group that once oppressed, they show themselves to be just as oppressive-minded & tyrannical as their former oppressors…

The French Revolution is a good example of this…

There is a lot of evil in the world today, and bigotry is just one. If an injustice is happening that irritates you then pray to Christ and pour out your heart. He will listen, for he is very wise. Then go to a spiritual adviser who is holy and wise (possibly a minister), and pour out your heart. Ask him if there are any peaceful/non-violent strategies you can employ to turn things around. Pray for them; pray to Christ for them to be converted. Perhaps you can make a difference, but only with a spiritual adviser. You see the problem, so pray for a solution. Pray for their salvation.

Treat them with the same respect and understanding that you ask for (follow the golden rule), and if these individuals are bigots then love them. Love your enemy and pray for them. God loves everyone, so ask God for help. Ask him to spread the love.

good advice but why do you presume i have not already done this?

i pray for everyone…

well, everyone i think of…

I’ve never had any problems with anyone of any certain race. I feel badly that you may have come across some very negative thinking ppl. I’m certain that most blacks would find it offensive to speculate as to someone being racist or not. Hatred has to be taught, it isn’t in human nature to hate. No matter what the reason. If someone treats you badly, pray for them, don’t feel angry about it. They weren’t taught how to deal with racist comments that came their way once, and they need to step back and not assume the other person hates them…likewise you should step back and not assume others hate you for the color of your skin.
Quit worrying about the slang blacks use in their everyday lives. If that is how ppl talk to you while you grow up, then you learn that form of language. Not because you are trying to shut ppl out of your conversation. And as far as black centered magazines like Ebony, those magazines were created as an entertainment source for blacks by blacks. The ppl who appear in Ebony are blacks who have come a long way since their ancestors were in slavery to whites. I give them a round of applause, they’ve come a long way.
Not that whites haven’t had the same kinds of hardships…look at Dolly Parton, or Amelia Eirhardt. They accomplished things that were deemed impossible. Buzz Aldren, Niel Armstrong, and Bill Gates to name a few. So it’s sort of the question of…who offended you and why are you lumping all blacks into a pile because one black person offended you?
It’s not the color of the skin, but the content of the character that counts. If the person is nice they will be nice no matter what their color…likewise if the person is rude or mean, they’re mean no matter what their color.
I hope this helped.
