Christ told us to forgive those who hate us.

Mt 5:4-4b
“love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Mt. 18:21-22
" Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times? ‘.Jesus said to him,’ I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven"
Remember that God sees what others are doing to you, as well as what you do to others. Let love and kindness be your way of dealing with those who treat you badly. For they will eventually run out of friends if they do not change their hearts and behavior.]

I’ve never had any problems with anyone of any certain race. ]
🤷

i have a hard time beliving this…

maybe you just choose to pay no attention… or maybe you are so well-dressed and respectable looking all the time that no one dares flip you any &*&^%… Black OR White…

but in any case… i think it has happened to more people than just me… that you will be going about your business somewhere… say a shopping mall and some group of Blacks will start talking to one another in that “dialect” they often affect…loudly… just to show the Whites (or seemingly to show them) that they are “together” and you, Whitey, are NOT invited… that “we don’t even speak your lousey language, really” kind of attitude… separatism…

i find it hard to believe you have never expereinced this…

maybe you live in some area of the country i am not familiiar with… … but even then, i still don’t believe it… i have visited and lived in many different states… had this problem in all of them…

and again, i am NOT saying all Blacks are like this… & It is very refreshing and uplifting to know the ones who are not… 🙂

**It is truly sad that anyone hates anyone else!

Some people pray on the fears of others to use them for their purposes.**

The racism argument is growing really old, we are all children of god, regardless of our heritage!

Oprah is black, Obama is 1/2 black, Michael Jordan is black, Tiger Woods is 1/2 black, Colin Powell is black, Condoleezza Rice is black…they are all pretty astounding people!

Why have they succeeded more than a vast majority of white people? Because they didn’t use any excuses, especially the lame excuse of racism!

Sure racism exists today, no doubt!

But even though i am a white male and in reality, have more opportunities than most women or people of color, everyone is ultimately judged on their actions, not their race.

i have been given many more opportunities than most people and i will have to answer for my failures one on one with Jesus Christ.

**“Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more.” **(Lk 12:48)

good advice but why do you presume i have not already done this?

i pray for everyone…

well, everyone i think of…
So you went to a spiritual adviser who is holy and wise (possibly a minister), and pour out your heart? Asking him if there are any peaceful/non-violent strategies you can employ to turn things around? What peaceful strategies has he given you to do to turn things around? How long have you used his strategies? If there not helping then go back to him and tell him that his strategies are not working.
I am glad to hear that you are praying for them.

mistake: meant to say magazines like Ebony…
Magazines like Ebony, Essence and Jet exist because in 1945 when they began publishing African features were seen as ugly by some and sub human by a minority. Life and Time magazine did not feature Blacks partially not to offend segments of the larger audience.

Beauty products optimized for African features thus found a source to advertise to their target audience. While “Black is beautiful, or Say it Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud” were anthems of the late 60s early 70s Blacks still are a minority audience and feel disinfranchised by the beauty standard being blond blue eyed Barbie. Thus a legacy existed so Ebony survives even though related magazines like Life died long ago since they didn’t have a loyal niche audience.

One of these days, may we all see each other as* Homo sapiens *rather than the content of Melanin we have in our skin.

that last point in your post is the main point i was trying to make…

a lot of Whites and Blacks both excuse Blacks for rude behavior… just because of “well, look what thye’ve been through.”

Excuse me… but*** i*** didn’t do it… I’m not guilty…

and even if i had been guilty (i mean my ancestors) … there is such a thing as repentance…

it seems that when one group is no longer oppressed but even (in some cases) actually in power over the group that once oppressed, they show themselves to be just as oppressive-minded & tyrannical as their former oppressors…

The French Revolution is a good example of this…
Rather than excuse others for rude behavior, perhaps people understand, demonstrate love, compassion and patience towards others. Would you be willing to consider this possibility?

i agree w/ everything except one hting:

BHO succeeded to the office of presidency because Democrats voted twice… and he hid the fact that he is not an American citizen… (am i half-kidding… uh… i don’t know… 🤷)

but anyhow, another thing they sometimes do when around Whites is start talking loudly and in that “Black dialect”… as ifthey are saying, “You are NOT one of us”…
That’s interesting as I feel the same thing here in NC sometimes when I walk a group of loud white guys devoid of shirts and shoes. Whatever “dialect” they are speaking I don’t recognize as standard english. I am often intimidated by these folks so I guess it’s all relative and I am “white” too! although I don’t really believe in terms such as white and black.

🤷

i have a hard time beliving this… why. I haven’t experienced what you describe either.

maybe you just choose to pay no attention… or maybe you are so well-dressed and respectable looking all the time that no one dares flip you any &&^%… Black OR White…being flipped &&^% is not really what you described.

but in any case… i think it has happened to more people than just me… that you will be going about your business somewhere… say a shopping mall and some group of Blacks will start talking to one another in that “dialect” they often affect…loudly… just to show the Whites (or seemingly to show them) that they are “together” and you, Whitey, are NOT invited… that “we don’t even speak your lousey language, really” kind of attitude… separatism…I’ve never seen or experienced what you describe–a group of people standing around talking who see someone of the opposite race and start talking loudly in a different dialect than they were using…I find that hard to believe.

i find it hard to believe you have never expereinced this… never. I find it hard to believe you have–what part of the country do you live in.

maybe you live in some area of the country i am not familiiar with… … but even then, i still don’t believe it… i have visited and lived in many different states… had this problem in all of them…

and again, i am NOT saying all Blacks are like this… & It is very refreshing and uplifting to know the ones who are not… 🙂

like i said, i have lived in several parts of the country…

some big cities are really bad as far as Black “gangs” - harmful ones as well as the not so harmfull…

Black gangs are sure scary! When black people get together on street corners I wonder what they are doing there. . .

Causing trouble no doubt. . . (sarcastic)

Blah., blah, blah. The only racists are the ones in the White House.

Really? I beg to differ. My next door neighbor, for instance, uses the N word. Is that racist? I have seen tee-shirt that say “KKK: The Original Boyz in the Hood”. Is that racist?
The white socialist party “neo-nazis” just met in Greensboro, NC. Is that racist?

I don’t believe the Administration engages in such “classy” behavior- they are of higher caliber than that.

It is not the lunatic fringe that we have to worry about. It is the anti-Christian and anti-White racist communists that occupy the White House and the racist fascist President we now have that we have to fear.

The threatening racism is not the vocal do nothing person, it is the subtle but powerfull racistism that slip below the radar screen and impact the nation as a whole. For instance look at national policies that are not overtly racist but are disproportionatly benneficial to one race at the expense of another.

We also need to worry about those who themselves talk about peace and inclusion but surround themselves with radical racist.
