Ramadan mubarek to all muslims

Well!!

I hope you are right … because people can interpret Arabic text but the text actually has another connotation…

And on Youtube they showed this massive event in that site…and they had ongoing chants of cursing the infidels.

So that was my concern…and knowing the play on words and the tricks that are played on Westerners…I am pretty leery…

To state an experience I had is not being bigoted…just as people have a right to be upset that 23,000 people have died at their state border, 450,000 have infiltrated into their state, and 5,000 innocent Americans have been killed by invaders in our country intent to commit crimes.

Ramadan is a feast for Muslims. And I am not knowledgeable of its whole content. And Saudi Arabia would never reciprocate or allow anything Catholic in their country.

Christians extend Merry Christmas to all people. So why not there in Saudi Arabia…?

I do not like the one sided freedom of expression. You cannot extend Merry Christmas on a Muslim site and you are heavily monitored and easily booted from what others have said.

So I am dubius…and that is not bigoted. You cannot go to a Muslim site and wish Merry Christmas to the Christians…so I found it a bit questionable to begin with.

Well,the one islamic forum that i visit regulary has also a nonmuslim part of the forum,and christians there wish merry christmas ,and no one has anything against it.So you are wrong.
 
That is good to know.

There was one Muslim here who was always denying the teachings and life of Christ. Christmas came…He finally said merry xmas to us… We extended to him Merry Christmas…then finally he returned the full greeting and we were all very happy.

Hopefully there will be more Muslim sites allowing this and allow Christians to practice their faith openly in Muslim lands.

No it’s not - you are thinking of the WadiMina which is about 1 mile up the road from the cube.

Muslim pilgrims run up there with rocks and there is some sort of pillar and muslim believe that satan lives there or that the pillar represents satan & throw rocks it.

If I am not mistaken, they also believe that all the rocks they throw at this pillar is hurting satan… 🤷

How is it that the house of Allah is just a mile away from the residence of satan…almost like in one area…LOL

Could you provide the link to this forum? PM me perhaps since I don’t know if it is acceptable to post on the open forum?

I also am doubtful about there being any good purpose to this thread --on a Catholic forum.

Well to be honest with you it’s where pagans before Islam used to pray for their gods and still…
In their their is an “Black Stone” and Muslim go to “Kiss it” and which blessings from it.
It is believed that the “Black Stone” felt down from Heaven, and that he represent/or have something to do with Allah.
so Muslims when praying they pray in it’s direction always from anyplace of the world, and in Mecca they turn around him in circles and start to do perform certain moves like prostrating for it, and kissing the ground and other kind of stuff…

That sounds wonderful. While we all pray for peace, can I, as a Christian, visit the Grand Mosque to witness this holiday of peace?

Well…it’s never a tough job or I never have the least sincerity to wish the muslims Happy Ramadhan, but in Indonesia their cleric have even declared a fatwa saying it’s harram or unpermissible to wish us Merry Christmas! Even though it’s just extending greetings without having to agree on the concept of Christmas! Yes, there are muslims who would abandon such fatwa, but there are many who are affected by it, even my closest muslim friends whom I always wish Happy Ramadhan. So imagine the mutualism!

so its very possible that Muhammad got his revelataion from the Satan ! I don’t get it unless u have twisted mind…then why do u have to throw stone at them sometimes and then let them deceive u the other time??? Your God really is indeed the great deceiver then!:rolleyes:

I am sorry for the immature, ignorant, and in some cases outright offensive comments that have been made here and elsewhere on this site against your faith. This thread in particular should have only been about sharing holiday greetings with one another, but it of course got off topic quickly.

So to get things back on track a little I want to say to you and my other Muslim brothers and sisters Ramadan mubarek! May this time of fasting and prayer bring you closer to God and give you more patience when interacting with your Christian brothers and sisters. 🙂

The issue is lack of reciprocity. Most Muslim sites will not allow Christians to come on to wish other Christians who are heavily monitored to do the same. And that is why I responded.

And Bosnian Muslim-- Christ delivered us from slavery. Slavery is the bondage of Evil One and sin. God did not create slavery or else the world would not have evolved and developed into the creation we see today.

Satan is not a slave of God either. Even the devil is made free to roam the earth ‘seeking the ruin of souls’.

It certainly looks very interesting. It’s always been my desire to witness Easter in Jerusalem, Christmas Eve mass at St. Peters and in Bethlehem. There are truly some beautiful holy sites I would love to see!
