i hope soon ur flesh will be christian like ur soul.

lol …God is wathcing us .… there are Muslims who break fast midway (either to smoke or drink a glass of water) when no other Muslim friend, colleague or relative is looking. .
**Yes, it is true while I was a Muslim. It was a gift. I accepted it, did not open it. I passed it on to the friends who were drunkards, who loved it. I do not know if I did the right thing. You did that while you are a Muslim !!!
I agree. It’s well-known that some Muslims have totally missed the point of fasting and they take the month of work and don’t do anything but sit around and then pig out at fast-breaking.
But that’s wrong–even to Muslims, that’s wrong.
I hear Muslims in other countries do that, waking up in midnight to eat, but that’s not practised here in SA, people/shops will not sleep/close till morning!I have to get up at 4:45am to eat a small meal before the fasting begins.
In Saudi Arabia we eat dates with buttermilk, try that its really a delicious combination. And then once time comes to break the fast I only get a small meal, eating a lot is too heavy and very uncomfortable–
May God The Most High be with you to show you (and my flesh) his love through Lord Jesus.Reversing my sleep schedule? Not hardly! I have to get up earlier, and I go to bed later… so even though so Muslims do what you described that certainly isn’t the appropriate way. And at night I’m sleeping as much as I can (between 11:30-4) and can’t just eat all the time. During the day I have school, work, homework, and prayers. And you better believe by the time afternoon starts rolling around, it ain’t easy.
You said it** I passed it on to the friends who were drunkards**
But i did not go near the wine and women
And may God The Most High show her the true religion.M W has looked after all the querries of the christian friends very well. I am happy that answers are correct and style very gentle. May Allah bless her with more knowledge and perseverence.
Some historical sources say that it was taken from the “Mandaeism” مندائية, they used to fast 36 days:I really don’t understand the point of the Ramamdan fast. It was explained to me that it teaches a person self-discipline and self-control. Do they observe it as a form of penance?
Welcome Muslim Woman to CAF & peace to you too,Also , punishment for breaking fast intentionally ( if s/he is sick then it’s allowed ) is 60 fasts for 1 day. So any believer must not do such a crazy thing.
don’t know what is it . Fasting was compulsory for the beleivers of the past , too .Some historical sources say that it was taken from the “Mandaeism”
Fasting in Ramadan is a must . Others are extra . We are encouraged to observe those . Not only Muslims in Saudi Arabic , others also observe these 6 extra fasting .Most Muslims here in Saudi Arabia fast 36 days, 30 days for Ramadan plus 6 days the following month (Shawwal) called “the six white days” الايام البيض.
These are off topic . U may ask here :… I also disagree when the Koran states that “God forbid that he should begat a son” or that Mary gave birth by a palm tree. .
Yeah, that is why mohammed didn’t bother to observe it.cathopologist–I think you’re jealous that Catholics don’t have Ramadan. It’s like your heart is just calling you to fast, because you can see there is benefit in fasting and prayer. And you hate to see Muslims leave this precious act of worship because you know how beautiful it is. I think to you, Ramadan indicates the superiority of Islam.
Go on… go to some of your Muslim friends and ask them to help you learn how to fast.![]()
All the millions and millions of people for 1400 years, and still counting, that have died because of this guy - mohammed. And they say ‘peace be upon him’ and call him holy.:nope:Yeah, that is why mohammed didn’t bother to observe it.
Here is some info from the surah and hadith on mohammed’s breaking ramadan:
The conquest of Mecca began in the month in which the Qur’an prohibited fighting. **Tabari VIII:160 **“Allah’s Apostle set out on the expedition against the people of Mecca in the month of Ramadan.” The prophet wasn’t religious; he knew Islam’s “holy months” were a farce. After all, he had stolen the dogma from a pagan.
But why do Muslims follow a prophet who so blatantly ignored his god’s orders? Qur’an 9:5 “When the sacred forbidden months for fighting are past, fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, beleaguer them, and lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
‘using every stratagem of war’ means that fool the infidels into thinking that Ramadan is not for fighting, then “have at it” after they are lulled into complacency.
,Ramadan is definitely one of the highlights of Islam. This holy month was one of the things that attracted me to the piety of Islam. Admittedly, Islam does have some pious practices.
I guess I was wondering if anyone might be using this as an opportunity to do more fasting, to fast with the Muslims (or fast for the Muslims), etc.
Maybe some of you do not have fasting as a part of your prayer life?
If not…why not?
If so…what does your fast involve?
I know we have Lent (I do not feel like a lot of take advantage of it though); I feel like we could learn some things from how devoted Muslims are to this month of Ramadan.
Any thoughts…Thanks!
…Please I do not want this to turn into Islam bashing…
Thanks again!
A post on topic, Alleluia!,
**Not all Muslims participate in Ramadan, just as not all Catholics participate in Lent.
I never thought about making fasting a part of my “prayer life” because I never really thought about doing so.
During my Lenten fast (and Advent fasting), I try to personally follow the fasting rules of the Orthodox churches in the east as they seem more meaningful to me. I don’t believe we have to look to other religions to gain the value of fasting and discipline practices as we have them right here in our own backyard. We just have to take time to smell the roses.**
