It is a fine line here. THere are many people who are anti-zionist that are not anti-Jewish. They oppose the way modern Israel was founded and how it oporates today.
Exactly. This is me.
There is a string push in some Evangelical and Fundamentalist circles, especially in the United States, to help Israel because God wants us to and that if we can get the Temple re-built, Jesus will call us all home.
I’ve never understood this. Only GOD knows the time of the return, right? Or does He suddenly need US Evangelicals to help Him set His schedule? What arrogance!
In the United States, we have come to a place where if you oppose anything that I am, you hate me. People who oppose gay marrage are homophobes and bigots. People who have issues with Israel are anti-semitic. People who do not like the Catholic Church are anti-Catholic bigots. These generalizations are not always the case and are rarely helpful in discussion.
Indeed. I believe in being respectful and tolerant of everyone, but that doesn’t include accepting their individual actions, politics, etc. It’s about a sense of shared human dignity that has been given to us by the Creator, which is exactly what the policies of modern Israel violate. If that makes me an “anti-semite”, then I guess I am so branded in the eyes of those who toss around that term as if it’s nothing. What can I do? Abandon my conscience so that no one else should ever have to look at their own?

It was a conspiracy.
Lord Balfour believed the Jews had some world wide ring, and Lord Rothschild, Weizman and company were quite happy to let him think so, to get the committment.

Btw, the clause “nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine” is often overlooked.
So which part of the resulting Isreali Constitution took away civil or religous rights of non-Jewish citizens?
Isa Almisry:
I think I have already asked, where are the CHRISTIAN Palestinians supposed to go?
Last time I checked, there is little in the way of a Christian equivalent of Hamas or Hizbollah.
Isa Almisry:
When Roosevelt tried to push your same point, King Ibn Saud asked why he didn’t give the Jews part of Germany, since THAT country’s government tried to exterminate them.
Why would Saud care? The region had been under one foriegn ruler or another for over a millennia. One reason why the world would be a better place if the Faisals had remained in power in SA.
Isa Almisry:
So if I take your house, your neighbor has to take you in, and I get to keep your house. If you kill my sister I get to kill your sister. Interesting jurisprudence.
Turn a blind eye to the injustice in Arab lands? There are more Palestinian Arabs living in squalid UNWRA camps in Lebanon and Syria than in the West Bank. Why the double standard?

In Lebanon, it was the equivalent of 30 MILLION people being dumped on the US practically overnight. The US, richest country in the world, is having trouble with that number over several decades.
Isa Almisry:
That still doesn’t answer the question, why should they leave:“nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine” means that they have a right to stay.
Here is what you are missing: These are people who fled their homes in front of the invading Arab armies. Did Washington let Loyalists who had fled to Canada move back into their houses?
Isa Almisry:
And it still doesn’t explain why a Jew never having seen Palestine should have citizenship for the asking, whereas a Palestinian in Palestine for thousands of years is free to be expelled.
Who’s expelling them? I have no say in Isreali immigration policy and citizenship laws. Should Sweden have a say in ours?
Isa Almisry:
There are what, 16 million Jews in the world. Are they all going to fit in Palestine? Where do they go if they can’t. Begin’s “Greater Israel” gave the answer.
Conspiratorial navel gazing. Yeah, those Jews are trying to take over the entire Middle East, which is why they keep giving land away for peace.
Isa Almisry:
The Zionist Congress were invited to Versailles, whereas, for instance, the delegation of Egypt, let alone Palestine, was denied a place at the table, and the delegation arrested on return to Egypt.
That’s because the Palestinian Arabs wanted to be a part of Syria, who did have a delegation. Part of that whole pan Arab nationalist thingy.

I’m all for the “occupied territories” to be given autonomy, and for the violence to stop.

So which part of the resulting Isreali Constitution took away civil or religous rights of non-Jewish citizens?
For starters:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevention_of_Infiltration_Law

Non-Jews may have “Israeli citizenship” but not “Israeli nationality.” A distinction with dire consequences.

I also note that the Zionist Declaration of Independence says they will safeguard all religious sites. Except for the tomb of Jethro for the Druze, none of the enumerated religious sites were in the territory alloted the Jewish state. So, how are they going to “safeguard” them?
Last time I checked, there is little in the way of a Christian equivalent of Hamas or Hizbollah.
How about a Jewish one?
Why would Saud care? The region had been under one foriegn ruler or another for over a millennia. One reason why the world would be a better place if the Faisals had remained in power in SA.
Why did Roosevelt ask him?
Turn a blind eye to the injustice in Arab lands? There are more Palestinian Arabs living in squalid UNWRA camps in Lebanon and Syria than in the West Bank. Why the double standard?
Because they wouldn’t be in Lebanon, Syria, etc if not for the Nabka. And the West Bank is only recently “autonomous.” Tel Aviv ran it for over 25 years. In many ways, it still controls it.
In Lebanon, it was the equivalent of 30 MILLION people being dumped on the US practically overnight. The US, richest country in the world, is having trouble with that number over several decades.
Here is what you are missing: These are people who fled their homes in front of the invading Arab armies. Did Washington let Loyalists who had fled to Canada move back into their houses?
No. It invaded Canada, not once, but twice.
Who’s expelling them? I have no say in Isreali immigration policy and citizenship laws. Should Sweden have a say in ours?
How much of the US government is underwritten by Sweden?
Conspiratorial navel gazing. Yeah, those Jews are trying to take over the entire Middle East, which is why they keep giving land away for peace.
I’ve seen postage stamps and other official publications of the Zionist state, which show a map of “Israel” encompassing the whole of Palestine. Problem: these were in the 50’s, i.e. pre-'67. and the maps on the rest stops etc. also showed no borders in Sinai, at the Jordan etc.
Ahad ha-Am, an early Modern Hebrew writer wrote “they (the Arabs) aren’t unaware of what we are doing.”

The OT law was if you stole some thing, you had to compensate many fold. Here we are supposed to praise thieves for returning part of their theft.
That’s because the Palestinian Arabs wanted to be a part of Syria, who did have a delegation. Part of that whole pan Arab nationalist thingy.
And what Syrian delegatin was seated?
I’m all for the “occupied territories” to be given autonomy, and for the violence to stop.
At this point it’s like a dark room, easy to get in, hard to get out.

For starters:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevention_of_Infiltration_Law

Non-Jews may have “Israeli citizenship” but not “Israeli nationality.” A distinction with dire consequences.
Let’s compare/contrast to the 1957 (note: pre 1967, when the West Bank was still part of Jordon, and Gaza was part of Egypt, and the Palestinian Arab autonomy movement was…strangely lacking…) Refugee Conference at Homs, Syria:
Any discussion aimed at a solution of the Palestine problem which will not be based on ensuring the refugees’ right to annihilate Israel will be regarded as a desecration of the Arab people and an act of treason
What are the citizenship laws in Arab nations regarding Palestinian refugees? Again, the double standard you apply is glaring.
Isa Almisry:
I also note that the Zionist Declaration of Independence says they will safeguard all religious sites. Except for the tomb of Jethro for the Druze, none of the enumerated religious sites were in the territory alloted the Jewish state. So, how are they going to “safeguard” them?
Not sure what your point is.
Isa Almisry:
How about a Jewish one?
I don’t defend Jewish terrorists, either. Ignoriatio elenchi on.
Isa Almisry:
Why did Roosevelt ask him?
Because it is the historical homeland of Jews, and the last autonomous people to live there.
Isa Almisry:
Because they wouldn’t be in Lebanon, Syria, etc if not for the Nabka. And the West Bank is only recently “autonomous.” Tel Aviv ran it for over 25 years. In many ways, it still controls it.
Whas it a “catastrophe” that the Arab armies failed in 1948? You’re begging the question.

You are correct, though, the West Bank is only recently “autonomous”. How much and when did the West Bank have autonomy, prior to 1967? Under Jordan? The Ottman? The Mamluks? The Ayyubids?

Why is this case so different from any other post-colonial or Soviet collapse with population exchanges? (see modern Pakistan and India)
Isa Almisry:
No. It invaded Canada, not once, but twice.
That wasn’t because of the Loyalists.

The correct answer is “No”.
Isa Almisry:
How much of the US government is underwritten by Sweden?
None, thankfully.
Isa Almisry:
I’ve seen postage stamps and other official publications of the Zionist state, which show a map of “Israel” encompassing the whole of Palestine. Problem: these were in the 50’s, i.e. pre-'67. and the maps on the rest stops etc. also showed no borders in Sinai, at the Jordan etc.
Ahad ha-Am, an early Modern Hebrew writer wrote “they (the Arabs) aren’t unaware of what we are doing.”[/QUOTEA]I also overhead a secret meeting at a cemetary in Basel in which Zionists were planning on taking over the entire world. And they put the blood of Christian children in their Passover matzo.
Isa Almisry:
The OT law was if you stole some thing, you had to compensate many fold. Here we are supposed to praise thieves for returning part of their theft.
I won’t dignify that hyperbole with a response.
Isa Almisry:
And what Syrian delegatin was seated?
King Faisal. Back when Arab nationalism wasn’t Islamicized.
Isa Almisry:
At this point it’s like a dark room, easy to get in, hard to get out.
It seemed to go okay with Egypt and Jordan. I haven’t noticed any Katyusha rocket launches from Sinai.

I am anti-Zionist. Wasn’t always so: not until I saw a blind, 90 year Palestinian thrown out of the home of her family (she being the lone survivor) so a Settler could have it. When she asked where she could go, the soldiiers told her “your rich “cousins” in Saudi Arabia.”
I agree with you 100% these are ugly, evil actions done to people, especially to those who are Christians.

But it was not pretty either what happened to Jews in concentration camps. The actions and results of man’s sin is not a pretty sight, and no doubt it effects everybody.

But still, there is God’s prophecy, and however ugly or pretty it was and is to let the Jews back into the land, is up to man, including the Jews.

Undoubtedly Christs Church , with the breath of the Holy Spirit, covers all four corners of the earth. Let us do the work of our Father he laid out before us-
Ezekiel 37:9
Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’ "

And one can just as easily point to such acts of inhumanity on the Palestinian Arab side.

It is a fine line here. THere are many people who are anti-zionist that are not anti-Jewish. They oppose the way modern Israel was founded and how it oporates today.
These “many people” you speak of are anti-zionist and anti-Jewish. They don’t like how Israel was founded and how naughty they operate in the land of Israel, but yet God says they “defiled his name” in all the nations they were scattered. But yet, these people would rather have the Jews outside the land, disobediant to God and scattered in the wind.

Jews were never meant to live outside the land of Israel.
There is a string push in some Evangelical and Fundamentalist circles, especially in the United States, to help Israel because God wants us to and that if we can get the Temple re-built, Jesus will call us all home.
The real push is to give Israel Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

So the modern state of Israel owns and defines Judaism, Lev23? I think this might come as a suprise to the majority of the world’s Jews, who live outside of Israel.

How is it that if one disagrees with Israeli policy they are automatically anti-Jewish? Regardless of what the land they operate on should be called, it is the policies that they inact on that land that are unjust. It has nothing to do with the Jews as a people.

It was a conspiracy.

what kind of ring were the jews supposed to have had for there to be a conspiracy and who was part of this conspiracy?
why don’t they make a documentary about this then and put all of the grievances in the documentary from the beginning? explaining how palestine was before the balfour declaration and after and how it was devised. i thought that britain put forth the balfour declaration.
the jewish people had lived in diaspora for many, many years. they have suffered for many years and many were exterminated under Hitler. i know you do not believe in the Bible real estate theory, but i am afraid that was the land promised to them. israel is very small and continues to give away land, but that is not satisfactory to the neighboring countries. they will not be happy until the last bit of israel is given away. i understand jordan is buying up most of the available area around the temple mount. i think your attitude like that of so many others is selfish, stubborn and unreasonable. it seems like whining and terrorist bombing are the only ways of communication. you have disappointed me isa. i am tired of hearing the same propaganda, what is the plan to make things better and everyone gets along and israel remains? sometimes you have to accept that this is the way it is going to be. the only solution to arabs and muslims is for israel not to exist anymore. how can you debate with people who feel you have no right to exist? that is the last i am posting on this thread, because even though i am roman catholic, i am trying to be open minded and trying to see both sides, but i hear nothing but hate and anger from one side and no intention to try to make things better or to get along.

What are the citizenship laws in Arab nations regarding Palestinian refugees? Again, the double standard you apply is glaring.
Only in Palestine can you be a refugee in your own country.
Soo we can just shuffle Arabs around (since most, but not all, Palestianians are Arabi) just like we can dump Puerto-Ricans in Mexico, and Guatamalans can go to Nicaragua, because hey, they’re all hispanic.

Not sure what your point is about Homs. In effect it was a guarantee that the Palestines’ right to return would not be sold out, which of course is EXACTLY what the Zionist movement has want since '48, and beyond.
Not sure what your point is.
THAT THE EVIDENCE SHOWS THAT THE ZIONIST PLANNED, FROM THE BEGINNING TO TAKE ALL OF PALESTINE.

Not the part given to them by the UN. Not what they said they would settle on. All of it.
I don’t defend Jewish terrorists, either. Ignoriatio elenchi on.
Then what was your point?
Because it is the historical homeland of Jews, and the last autonomous people to live there.
So what, besides US elections, which King Ibn Saud couldn’t care less (Truman actually explicitely cited the Jewish vote later).

Do you include the Samaritans? because the Jews certainly don’t.

Palestine had it’s own Patriarchate, which is as autonomous as it got in the Roman Empire. And then there was the Crusader state.
Whas it a “catastrophe” that the Arab armies failed in 1948?
It was a catastrophe that the Arab uprising had failed during WWI, that the Palestinians uprising was crushed in the '30s. Then they wouldn’t be this problem in the 40’s and beyond.
You’re begging the question.
No, I’m forcing you to face the root of the problem, which isn’t Lebanon, Jordan and Syria but a colonial scheme from Europe.
You are correct, though, the West Bank is only recently “autonomous”. How much and when did the West Bank have autonomy, prior to 1967? Under Jordan? The Ottman? The Mamluks? The Ayyubids?
The Ayyubids were appanage states, so a fair amount.
The Mamluks had three autonomous sanjaks, who were relatively fine, except for being on the frontier against the Mongols.
The Ottomans, like the rest of the empire, not much.
Under Jordan? I keep on being told by the Zionists that Jordan is Palestine.
Why is this case so different from any other post-colonial or Soviet collapse with population exchanges? (see modern Pakistan and India)
Pakistan and India were one region, on the same continent.
The former Soviets were one region, on the same continent.
The Palestinians and the Ashkanazis dumped on them were NOT from the same region, and NOT from teh same continent.

The difference is in the distance. Like across a major sea.
That wasn’t because of the Loyalists.
The correct answer is “No”.
yes, they (the Americans) wanted to eliminate Loyalism on the North American continent, and said so. The US’s first constitution envisioned the Canadian provinces to become states.

None, thankfully.
Isa Almisry:

Well good, if you can swear that under oath in a court of law, produce documentary evidence (photos, etc.), exhibits, etc. then you have a point. Because I can. If you can’t well,…
I won’t dignify that hyperbole with a response.
What hyperbole?
King Faisal. Back when Arab nationalism wasn’t Islamicized.
Faisal represented the Kingdom Hejaz, ie. Mecca, and so signed the Faisal-Weizman agreement.
and he didn’t even get to keep the Hejaz.
It seemed to go okay with Egypt and Jordan. I haven’t noticed any Katyusha rocket launches from Sinai.
haven’t noticed any invasions that way either.

So you use Grace as an excuse to cast away the Jews and the Promised Land? 😦

Again, I invite you to this thread to dicuss your anti-zionism.
Zionism has NOTHING to do with the Bible, one reason why the majority of Orthodox Jews would have nothing to do with it. As late as 1990 Shaas said they wouldn’t sign the Ten Commandments if it was put forward as a draft constitution. Shaas is also strictly for observing commandments, and not so supportive of the settler movements.

So the state based on its ideology has nothing to do with Grace, the Faithful Remnant, the Promised Land of the Covenant with Abraham.

I agree with you 100% these are ugly, evil actions done to people, especially to those who are Christians.

But it was not pretty either what happened to Jews in concentration camps. The actions and results of man’s sin is not a pretty sight, and no doubt it effects everybody.
I’ve been to Auschwitz. In the ovens (very creepy, btw). I’ve been to Palestine. Auschwitz is not in Palestine.

So what does this have to do with the topic at hand?
But still, there is God’s prophecy, and however ugly or pretty it was and is to let the Jews back into the land, is up to man, including the Jews.

Since the State in question, run by secular Jews, has allied itself with evangelicals whose theology is shaky at best, I don’t see the fulfillment of any prophecy here.

These “many people” you speak of are anti-zionist and anti-Jewish. They don’t like how Israel was founded and how naughty they operate in the land of Israel, but yet God says they “defiled his name” in all the nations they were scattered. you can also be pro-zionist and anti-Jewish. Many evangelicals are.
Jews were never meant to live outside the land of Israel.
Agreed.
The real push is to give Israel Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
On that we are fully agreed.

what kind of ring were the jews supposed to have had for there to be a conspiracy and who was part of this conspiracy?
Ask Balfour and company. They were the dupes who believed it.
why don’t they make a documentary about this then and put all of the grievances in the documentary from the beginning? explaining how palestine was before the balfour declaration and after and how it was devised. i thought that britain put forth the balfour declaration.
the jewish people had lived in diaspora for many, many years. they have suffered for many years and many were exterminated under Hitler. i know you do not believe in the Bible real estate theory, but i am afraid that was the land promised to them.
israel is very small
not relevant when much of it, nearly every inch, is usurped.
and continues to give away land,
not for free, and not out of its good will.
but that is not satisfactory to the neighboring countries.
exactly an issue, as the Zionist always wanted to deal with the neighboring countries, never the Palestinians.
they will not be happy until the last bit of israel is given away. i understand jordan is buying up most of the available area around the temple mount. i think your attitude like that of so many others is selfish, stubborn and unreasonable. it seems like whining and terrorist bombing are the only ways of communication. you have disappointed me isa. i am tired of hearing the same propaganda, what is the plan to make things better and everyone gets along and israel remains? sometimes you have to accept that this is the way it is going to be. the only solution to arabs and muslims is for israel not to exist anymore. how can you debate with people who feel you have no right to exist?
A point the Palestinains have continually made, to no avail.
that is the last i am posting on this thread, because even though i am roman catholic, i am trying to be open minded and trying to see both sides, but i hear nothing but hate and anger from one side and no intention to try to make things better or to get along.
then you aren’t really listening to the other side. Ever hear of Meir Kahane? Hanan Ashrawi?

please explain to me why God needed to send someone after Jesus?
God sent Prophets (pbut) to all nations . Muhammed (p) is the seal of all Prophets & Messengers (pbut).

People corrupted the messages of the previous holy books. God sent His final holy book to His last messenger .

**Assalaamu’alaykum, and hello to everyone,

JazakiAllahu khayran Muslim Woman for puttin this his link. I mentioned this site before in my other posts…His videos are so down to earth and so logical and he’s funny too lol. He is a true believer, an american x preacher and a great guy. He is also on the 'Huda" channel as well if anyone is able to get that channel that talks about Islam. Excellent channel! All in English …well maybe the Quran reading isn’t lol…but nonetheless, there is question time, explanation time, stories, lessons, nasheeds, etc.

God sent Prophets (pbut) to all nations . Muhammed (p) is the seal of all Prophets & Messengers (pbut).
This traditional tenet is mistaken since it is refuted by the Koran:

Surah 43:44
And lo! it is in truth a Reminder for thee and for thy folk; and ye will be questioned.
People corrupted the messages of the previous holy books. God sent His final holy book to His last messenger .
How come people did not corrupt the Koran? Muslims say God preserved the Koran from corruption. From this argument arises the question why God failed to preserve His previous books? The God of the Koran seems to be inconsistent and unfair.
