Not older than I, I reckon, and I won’t ask how old, for it’s impolite to ask a lady her age.As old as I am, I am grateful to be able to carry on. I am deeply worried about the course this country is taking and for my children and grandchildren. Makes me glad I am as old as I am.
Romney will take at least 52% of the Catholic vote–perhaps as much as 55%.Nope. Last poll has it 51-43 (IIRC)![]()
I’ll tell that to my 96 year-old grandmother and my 76 year-old dad who still works 50 - 60 hours per week. I’m semi-retired at 56 years-old, so I have nothing to complain about. I knew that law school was worth my time and investment! At my age (70), I’m satisfied just to be able to carry on.![]()

Registered Catholic votersWashington D.C., Sep 18, 2012 / 04:55 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- Surveys indicate that the Catholic vote is “too close to call,” a Catholic research center at Georgetown University says. “The vote of Catholics remains quite evenly split: 47 percent for President Obama and 45 percent for Gov. Romney,” the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate said Sept. 17. The statistically tied candidates have rarely topped 50 percent of the Catholic vote. The small percentage of Catholic registered voters will likely decide the winner of the Catholic vote in a country where one in four voters is Catholic. The research center aggregated data from polls that surveyed a Catholic sub-group, including Pew, Gallup and TIPP. Among Protestants, Gov. Romney leads the president by 51 to 40 percent. Those without a religious affiliation largely favor the president, with 63 percent saying they will vote for him and only 27 percent stating they will vote for Romney.
Protestants like Romney by 11%, yet Catholics favor Obama by 2%. I find that amazing. Of course, secularists, atheists, and Jewish voters prefer Obama.

Good for the two of them!! My mother is 96, and she’s in good health, healthier than her four children! Glad that law school worked out for you. As a Yankee in this Southern state, I found that my law degree and licensure in Arkansas and Missouri didn’t do any good except for a position as an attorney for the State.I’ll tell that to my 96 year-old grandmother and my 76 year-old dad who still works 50 - 60 hours per week. I agree it was disgusting, and could possibly cost Scott Brown the election. But lets be fair here. Brown did not approve this, he wasn’t even there.Scott Brown’s latest racial attacks against Elizabeth Warren and his “tomahawk war-whooping” senate aides (whose salaries I unfortunately pay) is all simply disgusting.
Again. Scott Brown never approved of the acts that his supporters displayed and he wasn’t even their among that crowd. After learning of it, he said he was disgusted. He can’t run a straight campaign against her - so he is resorting to lies and racial resentment - not quite the nice guy with the pick-up truck image he’d like to portray.
Isn’t this precisely what we teach our kids not to do?thehill.com/capital-living/in-the-know/258491-madonna-strips-for-obama-offers-profanity-laced-endorsement
Madonna strips for Obama, offers profanity-laced endorsement
By Emily Goodin - 09/25/12 09:21 AM ET
Madonna offered a profanity-laced endorsement of President Obama at her concert Monday night, which involved the singer stripping down to her underwear to reveal the president’s name written on her body. “You all better vote for f—ing Obama okay,” she told the crowd at Washington’s Verizon center. Later in the show, Madonna took off her shirt and pulled down her pants to show she had “OBAMA” written in all capital letters across her lower back. “When Obama is in the White House for a second term I’ll take it all off,” she said to cheers and whistles from the audience.
Now there is a fine example of a former Catholic school girl, eh?![]()
