If you want to teach your kids to hate homosexuals, you can do it on your own time
Ok I was supposed to take a break from CAF but this comment is so wrong on so many levels. No one is teaching anyone to hate Homosexuals

From the GLSEN web site: “Championing LGBTQ issues in K-12 education since 1990”
I heard an impassioned plea on TV just today for sex education in school to offer equivalent coverage for LGBTIQ+ persons as it does for “heterosexual persons”. This was one of the reasons offered for opposing SSM - the latter was predicted to lead to calls for a broadened definition of sex education, now teaching as good and natural a sexual relationship entirely divorced from the “birds and the bees”. Unsurprisingly, people are asking that parents have a right to exclude their children from this material if they deem appropriate. This request faces resistance - and on the erroneous grounds that to view man+woman as the only natural venue for sexual relations is a form of hate toward those personally inclined to a different view.

Correct. But society does not want to allow you to hold and teach your children that any form of consensual sexual behaviour is wrong. The only way to combat your exercise of your freedoms is to label it “hateful”.

I guess your correct. However there are consequences to this, I’m sure.

Just view them as misfits, make sure their civil unions are discriminatory and inferior, and use them as banners in the endless culture wars.

Sure, but not hate them.

The other problem with the court is it is known to be liberal court right now. That is not being a constitutional body.

We love the sinner and hate the sin. Surely you hve heard this before. It is the act and the choice made to act that is the issue.

It’s a delightful sentiment that in practice seems to mean “Love the sinner, penalize and discriminate against them, and make them feel the burden of their alleged sins as often as possible.”

Gee, and they’ve been telling the fight is over.

How insecure do you have to be about your private sex life to have to indoctrinate children?

Sick.
and make them feel the burden of their alleged sins as often as possible
Make them feel? 😂🤣

That’s the problem RIGHT there, This is all about hurt feelings.

BTW, if their relationships were so awesome, why do they need all of this help? I thought it was all supposed to be equal…
penalize and discriminate against them
Discrimination happens all of the time, and it is not always bad.

This happens, and there are many Christians who have in effect precisely this attitude. Are you saying, however, that it is impossible to have a principled objection to same-sex sexual activity and/or same-sex marriage without such an attitude?

Sure, let bygones be bygones argument. There are bigger fish to fry. Really? It is a really big deal when 5 justices redefine marriage and the family.

They are inferior to marriage and will never be equal to real marriage. Attempts to make them equal will always fail because everyone knows they are not,.

I think it is very possible to have a principled objection. I just don’t see how you can assume that a principled objection in and of itself constitutes sufficient argument to deprive anyone of a liberty.

Right. There is just discrimination and unjust discrimination.
Yes, and you’ve got to make those gay folk pay for their evil ways. Love the sinner, but make him pay for the sin over and over and over again.

In the past, whatever people did in the privacy of their homes was private. Today, privacy has been abandoned and various LGBT groups are engaging in full-scale propaganda to normalize this behavior. The worst case is when little kids who don’t know any better are being told about private behaviors and that LGBT is normative. Bad enough that sex education was started in the US that dealt with the mechanics and contraception. Now we have redefined gender labels. This is inappropriate, confusing and should be an opt-out situation for parents where schools are concerned. Creating the desired programmed entity is not the job of a school system. That is for parents to decide.
