Hello,
Since my wife is into Reiki, I want to know if there is a catholic equivalent to some kind of healing energy that my wife could get into? Thank goodness there is no such thing! Now, alternatives in woship, prayer and practice? Sure. Do some research. There’s everything from the Extraordinary Form to Charismatic Catholics to Opus Dei (not what a lot of people think) to the Neocatechumate Way to the Apostelship of Prayer to Rosary Army to the Legion of Mary to the Blue Army. You know your wife’s age, her mental condition, her likes and dislikes. With as little information as you’ve provided, I think she might do well in a charistmatic prayer group. But you know her best, or should. Google “apostlate” and see what you get. Perhaps the Christian/catholic mystics which I know next to nothing about I only heard of them…Also, how can I address the role of women in the church and her belief that since priests are the leaders and bishops and the pope and such that women are just as important as men are? Just as men cannot be mommies, even in her New Age thinking, so women cannot be daddies. Start there. She also held and may even still hold the idea that God is not loving that he gets angry quick and is vengeful and will send you to hell on a dime! And yet this vengeful God sent his Son to die for all of us so that we might be forgiven our sins, as well as to set an example of how to be loving? Yeh, way vengeful there.

I myself think that she was given lots of isinformation by people in the Nazarine church if not by the nazarine branch itself. Maybe. They are not always a happy bunch, depending on who leads, as they are pretty autonomous. But they are hardly New Agers.
