Some are revolutionaries, others are just out to have a good time at others’ expense. It’s human nature to some extent.
 
She was arrested for blocking traffic on a street where police cars were burning. This was at 10:30 pm. These things tend to get violent after sundown, when the instigators and opportunists come out in force to fan the flames.

I agree, Victoria. Plenty of people have been attending peaceful protests during the daylight hours, police have even joined in the protests in some areas showing that they also oppose the violence that killed Mr. Floyd. There is no need for anyone to be out at 10 pm supporting people who want to fight with police and light fires. Fortunately the cities have imposed curfews and are calling out the National Guard to deal with that.

God bless the people (including residents of many neighborhoods) who are coming out in the morning helping to clean up the mess left behind by those who have no respect for others.

We have drastically different ideas of the right to peacefully protest and its import in America. I have seen no evidence that this woman, specifically, acted violently. To argue that no one had a reason to be present at these protests ignores both the horror being protested and a central tenet of American history.

We all should, if we truly believe these riots are just your regular pyromanics , vandals and troublemakers.

Me personally, I believe it is too easy a dismissal, I believe there is something really deepseated in this that the virus environment has caused to boil over.

That’s very helpful information, irresponsible behavior.

If people choose to be uninformed, unfortunate but fine. If they then make it a point to insult others, that’s pretty bad.

I think its way more. History will yield the answer.
Corona Virus has led to massive unexpected and unpleasant changes.
People are hurting, grieving, angry, feeling powerless.

I heard that right wing groups showed up also. I will wait till the web ceases to dictate rumors before I decide what is.
 
Information is starting to come in that leftist Anarchist groups are responsible for most of this violence (NY Post). Even Representative Ilhan Omar is saying outside groups are setting these fires. So much for saying these disruptions are just the voice of the unheard, This is intentional agitation.

This is happening all across the country though, which makes the whole “outside protestors are being shipped in from elsewhere” narrative seem unlikely. I would also like to point out that it isn’t unusual for people to travel to attend protests and demonstrations.

I am open to the full story. But it would be nice if people made a decent effort to convey it with reliable news sources.

Your information is better than that of the progressive governor of MN, Walz and of representative Ilhan Omar and experts on terrorism?

And they wait till nightfall for the most part, to light their fires and cause mayhem. Wow.
