When I was in high school I graduated in 1974, the gym classes were all segregated by sex.Edit: When I was in high school (2002-2007) the answer to the problem of privacy in showers was solved

Hmm. Sounds better in Greek: Peotic- (pertaining to the penis) and Colpotic- (pertaining to the vagina). Alternatively we can bring back Hysteric- to its proper etymology. It’d be nice to be able to say “the Hysterical Restroom” without everyone calling me a misogynist.[…] protecting vago-americans from penile-americans (ugh, what wretched terms) […]
At the Planet Fitness I go to, there’s just a men’s locker room and a women’s locker room. There are no family bathrooms (the lower age limit – 13 years old – makes that unnecessary). There are no lockable shower rooms. There are typical public toilet stalls, but no private bathrooms. There are usually family bathrooms at these kind of places. With completely lockable shower rooms and completely lockable toilets. One would think a person not fully in transition would use these spaces? Or the person upset about who is in the men’s or women’s locker room?
I agree there are two sides to every story. But terminating anyone isn’t necessarily the answer. Also possible: The woman who complained is a TERF making trouble.
ETA: Or transphobes making trouble. Why are the only sources for this from Christian and/or conservative sources? I call b.s. on this.
Same here, class of 1981.When I was in high school I graduated in 1974, the gym classes were all segregated by sex.
