I will trust in the Holy Spirit to keep the Church on Christ’s path. In the mean time I will continue to live as I have been taught by the Church and my conscience. Fortunately, I am not in a position where the issues in question directly affect me. I do feel sorry for Priests and Bishops who must direct their flocks. We must pray that the Holy Spirit will guide the Church and its people.I will place my trust in Jesus. Pope Francis is a human being whose heart only God can read.
If you’re leaving the Catholic Church, why do you care?
Become a fundamentalist, you make a career out of bashing the Pope.
Yes all three volumes, I was bed ridden in the summer of 1991, why is that important? But…have you read all of the Divine Comedy??? That’s the real question.

JP isn’t the only one here like that. This forum is over-run by trads and right-wingers who give a very distorted view of the Church and her teaching. I fear any lurkers who come to this forum thinking they are getting an accurate picture of Catholicism. The more level-headed posters on this forum should contact the Bishop of San Diego to have it shut down… It’s a disgrace.yes looks like he/she’s only sticking around to bash the Pope. If people are going to move on…then move on and join a fundamentalist or protestant forum if they are going to continue the Pope bashing. JPUS is not like the other protestants and converts on this forum, at least they have manners and aren’t obsessed with attacking the Holy Father. Makes you wonder what his/her agenda is.

The more level-headed posters should contact the moderator to have YOU shut down for trying to get the board shut down. People here cite official documents for their authorities. If authentic Catholicism is under threat, you should be able to make your own arguments with authorities rather than try to get people who disagree with you gagged.JP isn’t the only one here like that. It’s not. It is completely irrelevant - that was the point. I was using irony. We are not talking about the Inferno, who has read what. For the record, Dante does, in fact, condemn those who remain morally neutral in times of moral crisis. (let’s say I lucked out there) Do you disagree with this statement? I was arguing that concern about the conflict over AL in the Church is not just understandable, but obligation. (see earlier posts)Yes all three volumes, I was bed ridden in the summer of 1991, why is that important?
Right, I am so with you on that, Blue Horizon! (see above)Nobody does the hard critical yards anymore.
Yet the story, from a fake news source remains…MODERATOR NOTICE

FC I am not really interested in discussing with you sorry. You are just a little too uncritical of the quotes, concepts (“liberals”) and " information" you launch from. It’s not. This is why the dubia was presented to Pope Francis by the four cardinals. For clarity and understanding, we need coherency, ‘hard critical yards.’
Back on point, I do wonder what is up with this liberal group though - if true - is Francis not going forward effectively enough or too effectively or going nowhere super effectively. Again, I predict there will be some truth emerging to this rumor. Very few ‘rumors’ have been unfounded so far in this pontificate. I am beginning to suspect that consigning information to ‘rumors’ is more and more just a stop gap measure, damage control. Not unlike the established pattern of confusion, contradictions being intentionally employed in doctrine, official communication.
Ok, that sounds like a plan. But keep an eye out for too rigidly, blindly adhering to whatever and wherever it is exactly that you are launching from.FC I am not really interested in discussing with you sorry. FollowChrist34 didnt actually say that was from Dante’s InfernoFollowChrist34;14516288:
As one who has actually read all of Dante (presumably you refer to “Inferno”) … I don’t think so.My view on the matter:
The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who in time of moral crisis preserve their neutrality. – Dante

…But perhaps you can provide the actual reference to where in “Inferno” we might actually find this stanza so we can compare the above with the original?
About that…Modern trads have a voice they never had before. Trump’s guy Steve Bannon, who is a radical right-wing extremist, has been meeting with anti-Pope Francis clergy in Rome, hoping to stir the pot. With his money, and the money from Breitbart, they are launching an all out attack on the Pope.
The sudden recent increase in anti-Pope Francis stories from right-wing fake news sites, the sudden recent resurgence of trads in social media sites. Many seemingly having the time and the money they never had before…
Prepare for an onslaught of anti-Francis, anti-Catholic “news” stories. Trump has teamed up with his most vocal Catholic supporters: trads.
