Minnesota Republican State Senator Paul Koering has emerged from the closet and announced he is Gay. Link

Said Koering:
“I feel like the Republican Party is big tent, and that there is a home for me in the Republican Party,” he said. “The question is going to wind up being back home: Is the party big-tent enough for Paul Koering?”

As long as he doesn’t have try to start pushing the special interest agenda of the gay righte movement. Then he will have to admit he is a closet Democrat too.

Speaking as one who voted against these two every chance I got, this strikes me as a tad over the top. Some moderation of rhetoric is appropriate.

That’s not what the rev. V. Eugene Robinson says. Your example of Anne Heche is more the norm than the person who has only been sexually involved with their same gender.
