Apparently Romney and Paul were the only two who were able to get this done. The rules are public knowledge. If Gingrich and Santorum couldāt get something as relatively simple as getting on a primary ballot figured out, how on earth are they going to be running an entire nation? No, he was not. The Virginia rules were changed in the spring of 2011 to make it more difficult to get on the ballot, and all the candidates knew that. Gingrich is a Virginia resident and certainly knows the rules there. Instead of challening the rules, he tried to collect the required signatures and failed to do so. He only challenged the rules after he failed to make the ballot, which is one reason his suit was tossed out. VA wanted to make it really hard to get on the ballot. They succeeded in doing so, and now they are unhappy with that choice. Hopefully they have learned that lesson and will loosen up the rules, but it has nothing to do with Romney.
Thanks, TMC. I was wondering what all the righteous indignation was all aboutā¦much ado about nothing. No, he was not. "In the coming weeks, Santorumās record in Congress, his writings, his past interviews ā everything ā will be dissected as never before. Romneyās campaign and the super PAC backing him will make certain of that, as will the media. Gingrich will use the debates to draw his own distinctions with Santorum." - [Washington Post](http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/can-rick-santorum-become-more-than-not-mitt/2012/02/14/gIQA4jw9DR_story.html)

People reject his pro-life, anti-war, and anti-Fed message because of ignorance. How many people even know who controls the money supply or what the Church position on birth control is or where Iran is on the map? How many public school teachers even know? Yet, these things affect Americans and all they get is what the news media tells them whom to vote for.And people have consistently rejected his message for 20 years. BTW-I though Paul supporters said we were supposed to ignore things he said 20 eyars ago?
Yay!!! Weāre gonna spend $1+ Trillion more than we take in next year!!! Wooohoooo! Whip out that credit card. We gonna have us a Par-tay!Democrats in tough races turn critical of Obamaās 2013 budget
āIn the Senate, Jon Tester (Mont.) and Claire McCaskill (Mo.)⦠said Obamaās proposal had fallen short of what was necessary to rein in federal debt. āUnfortunately, this budget still includes unacceptable deficit levels, and Iām ready to work with Democrats and Republicans alike to tackle this problem,ā McCaskill said. And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has kept quiet on the budget, declining to give it the full-throated praise that Democratic leaders in the House have poured onto the proposal.ā - The Hill
So, everyone but Ron Paul supporters are ignorant sheeple. Thatās a great way to attract voters to your candidate.People reject his pro-life, anti-war, and anti-Fed message because of ignorance. Noone posting here should be petitioning for a specific candidate. We should be discussing the principles of governance from a Catholic perspective without consideration of party or politician. We should, however, be free to criticize or praise specific politicians who violate or uphold Catholic political principles, regardless of party or religious affiliation. So, everyone but Ron Paul supporters are ignorant sheeple. Hahaā¦sureā¦no one has been petitioning for their candidates this whole timeā¦especially not Ron Paul supportersā¦Noone posting here should be petitioning for a specific candidate. Iāve heard just as much rah-rah cheerleading from gingrich and Santorum supporters. Havenāt heard ALOT from Romney supporters. The most complimentary thing and most passionate thing Iāve heard about him is āAt least heās not Obama. Plus, he has really good hair.āHahaā¦sureā¦no one has been petitioning for their candidates this whole timeā¦especially not Ron Paul supportersā¦![]()

You have kubark for that. Not Ron Paul per se but his message.
I donāt know. Maybe he shouldnāt be that much of a gentleman and really pour on the rhetoric, what do you think?
Yes, I keep forgetting how objective and unbiased the media is.
You should stick to your media/establishment conspiracy theoriesā¦
If the poster had used that language, you would be correct, but he did not. It is better to stick to accurate representation of what people say.So, everyone but Ron Paul supporters are ignorant sheeple. Thatās a great way to attract voters to your candidate.![]()

My paraphrasing was accurate. Get over yourself. If the poster had used that language, you would be correct, but he did not. It is better to stick to accurate representation of what people say.
Ya know, Iām beginning to think that people are actually afraid Ron Paul might get some good things done. Why else would they be voting against someone who has actually introduced bills that define life from conception or against someone who has shown how he will end the Fed or the federal income tax altogether? You have kubark for that.
Paul does a pretty good job of pouring on the rhetoric and negative adsā¦
No fear of Ron Paul here. I will vote for him, if he is the nominee. That said, there is zero chance that he could end the federal income tax or Fed as President. The presidency is not all-powerful, and Congress would not work with him. His lack of ability to lead is one of the reasons I wonāt be voting for him in the primaries.Ya know, Iām beginning to think that people are actually afraid Ron Paul might get some good things done.
