Source what? How do I “source” peoples implicit actions - other than citing the so-called “catholic” vote for Obama? Is that what you want me to cite?

And for an “apolitical” guy you certainly are pursuing this little foray aren’t you? Why, it’s almost as if my statements “flushed” you out. Or something…

Is this where you go into the predictable “single issue” fallacy cited by most liberal “catholics”? Not the you’re a liberal, mind you.😉
I think you sincerely need to reassess your method of dialogue. Ad hominem attacks don’t deliver us to truth. They take us away from it.

You said:
Well, according to Liberal “catholics” Jesus left the Democrat Party. And its pope is Barack Obama (formerly cardinal Barry Dunham).
I’ve never seen that said and asked for a source to that statement. That borders on sacrilegious, in my opinion.

I don’t know why you prefer to assume what I believe? 🤷

I think the best way to oppose same sex marriage, is this:

No matter what you call another plant, it will never smell like a rose, unless it’s a rose, why do they want to give the same name to two different plants?

A homosexual union will never be the same as a hetrosexual union, so why do they want to give them the same name (marriage)?

And they often say that we shouldn’t force our beliefs of marriage onto them by saying that they can’t be recognised as a homosexual marriage.

Well I say that they shouldn’t be forcing their beliefs of marriage onto us by saying that they should be recognised as a homosexual marriage.

This is the dilemma we face, it’s a no win situation for any government I think, they need to come up with a new term to include hetrosexual and homosexual unions for the Law side of things and only a hetrosexual union should be reffered to as marriage.

Thank you for reading
Josh

What ad hominem attacks?

Oh, and stop judging me. 😉
As I’ve said before, I’m not here to judge you - I’m just suggesting that what you say is not furthering discussion. We all get caught up in the heat of an argument and say things we don’t mean. I argue for a living, and even for me it’s hard to remember that it’s never personal.

You’re married for a living?

J/K…what do you do seakelp?

And I repeat: Source what? How do I “source” peoples implicit actions - other than citing the so-called “catholic” vote for Obama? Is that what you want me to cite?

And how exactly is my statement “sacrilegious”?
I don’t know why you prefer to assume what I believe? :shrug
Uhm… you seem to be displaying what you believe right now.

So why are you pursuing this?

Oh, so you made a judgement of that being stated, and it wasn’t something actually stated by anyone else? If someone said Jesus left them and announced someone, without authority, to be the Pope, I would consider that sacrilegious.

I can speak clearly on what I believe.

Pursuing exactly what? I give (name removed by moderator)ut as I see things I agree with, disagree with, and when I find something that appears to lack charity.

You’re making a judgment about my statement.

Stop judging me. That’s not very charitable of you.😦

Can you?

Pursuing this particular topic. Apparently you disagree with something.

Oh and. stop judging my charity. That’s not very charitable of you. So please, stop it.

Stop supporting his uncharitable judgments of me.😦
I’m sure no one wants you to feel like people are ganging up on you, or something like that. But sometimes, comments can come off as rude or insensitive, even without our knowing. Maybe you can go reread your comments and think about why people react to them the way they do? I do that myself, sometimes, and it helps me to figure out the best way to talk to people in a way that’s respectful of them and of me!

I was asking for clarifications of your statement. In fact, I posed the question you quoted for clarification as well. How are questions considered judgements?

I found somethings I agree with, disagreed with, and have seen things I questioned as to whether they were charitable or not. But I have not called anyone specifically uncharitable.

Since there seems to be so much confusion, I suggest we go back to the topic of the thread. I’m not the topic.
