Two posters on one thread were having at it with one another. One vowed to mute, I responded to the other and got immediately “hearted” by both. 😳 Both! (Was sure I’d killed that one.)

Great grandma was famous (in our family) for handing out nicknames. My sister got “Dungaree Doll.”
Some of our cousins shortened it to “Dun Dun” and still call her that!

Long live dungarees!

Born the year before the Queen’s coronation, I was called “La Princesse” or “Princess Elizabeth” because I had two older brothers and grandparents, constantly carrying me around and answering my every wish. So I am told. :princess:t2:

Although I don’t have a nickname, I enjoy hearing the stories of how people got their nickname. There was a time at work when a large number of my coworkers had nicknames. It was so bad that at one meeting our boss told us the names of two associates who had been promoted, and we didn’t know who he was talking about until someone finally remembered them by their nicknames.

Being a thread killer can at times be a positive. Some threads very much need taken out back and bashed in the head with a shovel.

I would invite you all to the funeral for this thread I have killed.
💀⚰️👻
But it is dead.

Please stay away.

I’m not seeing any recent activity from @Titivillus in which a thread was closed. I call shenanigans!

I find shenanigans mostly stirs things up. As opposed to closing things down.

I understood @Titivillus to mean this thread - "Raise your hand if you might be a threadkiller! itself, perhaps as their post was 8 days after the previous last post.

But perhaps my understanding is wrong…

Just checking, thread has again not died. Indeed, it seems to have picked up a little life.

I killed it yesterday, but then some Nosy Parkers poked it and woke it up again.

Sh-hhh-hh 🤫
