@qui_est_ce , I’ve read your two posts above and don’t really want to get into a “OH, Yeah, well…” argument with you. I was attempting to have a meaningful discussion.
Usually you do make meaningful posts. But here you are going off the rails making emotional accusations. Trump is no worse on the environment than previous presidents.

Believe me, there’s plenty to criticize Trump with, but what you posted is not.

But…the democrats are not willing to settle for “status quo,” and changing hearts and minds. Democrats applaud abortion…they applaud PP. People cheerleading that industry aren’t trying to change hearts and minds. Democrats want to expand research on fetal tissue from abortions…thru legislation!!!
So, we are totally against other religions codifying their beliefs into US law. But we think it’s okay for us because we are right.

I don’t care what the Democrats do. If you think the Republicans are the pro life party, they should be convincing people that abortion is wrong. Their arguments (and their own immorality) just make that a hard sell. I see legislation as a last ditch attempt at getting your way when you can’t convince people what you are saying is right.

Well, this is becoming emotional for me. I do not like the path we are going down. And, the threat to the environment, whether mad made or not, seems obvious. But, maybe I’m only slightly off the rails.

It’s just the freshest.

Which bring us to 2 core ideals and the concept of separation of church and state or more aptly separation of religion and state.

Keep your religion out of my politics.
Keep your politics out of my religion.

The immorality of abortion is a human rights issue, not merely a religious issue. I am against the taking of an innocent human life, and its a medical fact that life starts at conception.

Stealing, murder, rape are all against the tenets of my religion…does that disqualify us from enacting legislation to make them illegal? There are atheists against abortion!
I don’t care what the Democrats do.
This is good context for me to have on your posts

We have done a lot to clean up the environment. The air and our rivers are probably the cleanest since the start of civilization. Below is a picture of my city in the 1930’s when we were still burning dirty coal.

The Democratic Green New Deal is a disaster and unsustainable.

Come on, that’s disingenuous. I said I don’t care what the Democrats do in the context of talking about Republicans, and you inserted what Democrats are doing.

I am pro life. I am anti abortion. Can I say it any plainer?

This is not binary. Both parties can be wrong.
So be honest, Trump is not the worst ever that you are making him out to be.

I’ve posted some positive things about Obama on these threads, as much as I detested his policies and views on marriage and abortion.

I think he will go down as more corrupt than Warren G Harding.

Yes, he has done some good things. The criminal justice reform was needed. It’s the non-policy things, if you will, that I object to. I don’t want/need to list them here, but from day one he has denigrated the office.

You wrote that after I talked about what the Democrats were doing regarding abortion…however…I will take you at your word here.

Don’t get why PP is so important to the lefties? Women can go to Thrive, doctors, clinics. Why single out PP? Is it because they donate heavily?
They do donate heavily to the Democrats. But I think there is a “cultural affinity” as well.

I remember my father telling me that when he was a kid his family had railroad passes because his father was a railroader. His mother used to shop in St. Louis in a turnaround trip, which you could do then because the through trains were really fast.

Anyway, he said that it was dark like nighttime at noon in downtown St. Louis. Your photo certainly confirms that. Thanks for posting it.

The second night continued to make a stark contrast between the Pro Life positive outlook of President Trump’s administration against the negative pro abortion outlook of the democrats.

Appreciated the stories of John Ponder, Officer Ryan Holets (who reminded us of President Trump’s work in decreasing opioid addiction) also the First Lady and Abby Johnson speeches.

Tonight looking forward to Sister Dede Byrne, Kellyanne Conway, Elise Stefanik and Dan Crenshaw.

Didn’t he bring about the glowing economy we had by rolling back environmental regulations? You can say it was a trade off that was worth it but I’m not sure many people would call him pro-environment.

In Lieu Of Convention, Republicans Just Broadcast Footage Of Riots In Democrat-Controlled Cities For 3 Hours

Republicans simply aired videos of burning homes and businesses and leftists throwing bricks through windows on Democrats’ watch for hours on end.

“It’s a far more effective strategy than if we were to get up there, open our mouths, and talk,” said an RNC spokesperson. “This is far more effective than any ad campaign or convention programming we could have come up with. We just let people see what happens when Democrats decide to let their followers run amok blowing stuff up and screaming at people.”

Democrats, for their part, admit they have been outplayed, and say they wish they would have just broadcast footage of Trump talking for four days.

I know of one way in which he did. I’m not all that knowledgeable about environmental regs, but one that particularly irked me was the WOTUS regs that required Army Corps of Engineers approval just to clean out a farm pond or put rock in a dry wash or remove a washed-down stump that’s causing a stream to erode its banks. The result was that nobody did any of it because the Corps didn’t have time to monkey around with stuff like that because they would have had to visit the site several times and approve and check a detailed written plan.

Trump removed that, which allowed farmers to do what they know how to do without getting the Corps involved.

I think that only helped certain players in the economy. He added to the deficit with the tax cuts for the wealthy.
