Yes, there used to be a term called moral turpitude. Not only a legal unerstanding but a social one as well. People did not compartmentalize their moral life from everything else. Bad examples make no difference today. Bad moral living is some type of minimal dimension that has no bearing on any other aspect of life apparently.I support Romney’s decision. The operative point was this man was openly gay. Either Romney understands the homosexual act to be intrinsically evil or he does not. Asking his staff to rise to a higher morality is a good thing.
I guess it is part of post modernism.
