I was on the team that wanted a chance to overturn Roe V Wade and replace a NARAL president with a pro-life president. We lost in part because some voters were perfectionist and couldn’t see that overturning Roe V Wade would have been a huge victory for the pro-life movement - and for the unborn. I think you were on a different team.We are all on the same team here. We want Christ to reign on earth as he does in heaven. We know we are far from that and that the most egregious sin of our society is the demonic abortion industry. We want to stop that as a priority for our nation will be punished by God–he will allow us to follow our own culture of death to our own demise.
Romney was the pro-life candidate. Strange that pro-life groups and organizations overwhelmingly supported Romney. Were they wrong? Did you have some special secret knowlege of Romney that they didn’t? Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life put out a voter’s guide that all but made it a no-brainer to vote for Romney. Was he wrong? Is his pro-life qualifications “non-existent” as a result? Take an honest look at the voter’s guide and explain to me how Romney’s pro-life qualifications were non-existent.Code:Therefore, we all agree that voting for Obama was completely unacceptable for Catholics. Voting for Romney as a means of limiting evil is justified so as long as there is proportionate reason. I don't believe in light of his weak to non-existent pro-life qualifications and his many faults that there was proportionate reason. In this, reasonable people can disagree.
