He didn’t say the “he didn’t want to do much about [them]”. He said that no matter what he does, they won’t vote for him, and he’s right (although I think the figure is really 43%)

You are right - the president’s supporters. People that would vote for him regardless. Doubt this will have a major impact with independents who will look at variety of issues before deciding who to vote for

The history of presidential campaigns say that you are completely correct. Every election cycle, this same sort of gaffe-fest goes on, and it doesn’t change much.

These things don’t tend to affect independents much. The people who have already decided to vote for Obama wo’nt change, and neither will the people who’ve decided to vote for Romney, and those two camps are precisely the ones making all the noise about this.

The debates can actually have some effect, yes. But only if someone says something really, really stupid and catchy. Keep your eye on Biden.

Really? I didn’t read it, I just saw the headline and skimmed. Sorry. (And I berate people, in my head of course, for not reading, just posting.) That’s pretty weird. Playing strip billiards with people you just met. I would want to get to know them better. Maybe go on a diet for a few days, practice up on my billiards, get my drankin shoes on…

I still don’t like people taking vids and pics and splattering them all about the place. Regardless of whether they were good friends or maybe acquaintances, who some of whom thought they were becoming good friends, enough to “let their hair down”… …two wrongs don’t make a right…

Hmmmm, I don’t know, milquetoast. I think dropping your bloomers for a casual stranger is pretty much on a par with taking a sneaky snapshot or two.

It’s pretty much like a den of thieves at that point. Nobody was behaving, it sounds like.

But would he campaign in the minority neighborhoods? See, that’s why Democrats who do enter their neighborhoods need to be converted, especially if no Republican dares to go there. Typically those minority neighborhoods vote Democratic. Broomwagon brought up some very important statistics IMO. If we want to try to reduce the number of abortions, we need to focus on that and forget the politics. But that’s easier said than done, I know.
