Oh please. What is he money is he taking from the poor and giving to the rich?
Here’s just one example of taking from the poor to continue giving to the rich the portion of the Bush tax cuts for the rich.

“According to an analysis by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities, Romney’s economic plan would throw 13 million people off of food stamps entirely or force him to cut benefits by nearly $2,000 per family per year.”

“Cuts in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly the Food Stamp Program) would throw 13 million low-income people off the benefit rolls, cut benefits deeply — by over $1,800 a year for a family of four — or some combination of the two. These cuts would primarily affect poor families with children, seniors, and people with disabilities.”

The only image at the RNC I saw of GWB was the backdrop when Condi Rice was speaking. There was no mention of him except by his brother, Jeb, who was indeed invited for his good work on education in Florida. I would go so far as to say Jeb Bush should have been the nominee of the GOP (in 2000, 2008, and currently) rather than Romney, despite his obvious association with the Bush legacy, but I’m not so sure he would have passed the ultra-conservative hurdles. He lacks the chameleon character of Mitt.
Here you go. The video of Bush I & II that was played at the RNC. Maybe you were up getting more popcorn at that time.

The post is nonsensical. Romney is not taking money from people of lesser means to aid the wealthy. Kind of reminds me of Obama’s ridiculous statement to business owners: “you didn’t build that”. Oh, yeah?
They didn’t build anything themselves. Besides various government aid or loans some may have received along their way, they received an education. No doubt some of them a public education. And they need consumers, clients, customers, patrons or they would have no business. Those consumers in cases need roads and bridges to get to the businesses. And many of those consumers received a public education or other government help in order to get to their station in life where they are able to consume. Without which the owners have no business.

I honestly don’t know what all the fuss is about over this video. Like it’s really a surprise that this is what Romney really thinks? His whole economic theory is based on taking money from the “moochers” and giving it to the “achievers”-very Randian.
How do you take money from “moochers”? They wouldn’t be “moochers” if they had their own money.

Oh my goodness an economic plan that gets people off of the dole and into a rewarding job. Considering over 16 million Americans are on SNAP when they weren’t just a few years ago, I think a job is what they’re seeking for not more government programs to keep them in poverty.

I hate to be picky, but it’s not their money that is being taken from them. In order to take something from someone it has to belong to them to begin with.

You have to understand the Democrat mindset. The “rich” and the “poor” are static groups, and it is a zero-sum game. The poor never get out of poverty and the rich only get richer…they never stop being rich. Of course, reality is much different, but it doesn’t play well with their victimhood meme.

Romney’s going to win and win big. Obama knows this Hes just tryinh to keep it closer than Carter. Ill be here Nov 7th I doubt if you will be.
Actually I have a post of yours saved from about a week ago stating that Romney will win and “win big”.

I’ll be here and when I paste your post it will be all “slaughter, dismemberment, murder, sin, sorrow, weeping”, these will be the terms.

Anything to not eat the humble pie.

You see I CAN eat the humble pie if Obama looses, but can you if Mittins does???

I guess we will see. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And if the owners need help running their business, their employees help build it too.

You apparently have never been in a grocery line where people are using food stamps. Yes they belong to the person using them.

Yah…whatever. Foodstamps are a gift of other people’s money via the government to those less fortunate. The people who receive foodstamps did nothing to earn them and have no legal claim against the government if they don’t receive that “money”, unlike someone who actually has something taken from them.

I probably was, Dawnia. Thanks for sharing this. As much as I am a political junkie, I have to take breaks from politics (especially political conventions) now and then.
I only caught the tail end of the video myself.

I can’t wait until Nov 7th when this election will be over. Then the next one can begin. 😛

Oh, I’m sure it’s going to be a GOP after Obama. Americans don’t often go 12 years with one party.
Ringil, I hear ya but don’t be so sure. Reagan, Reagan, Bush I. Clinton, Clinton, and Gore did win the popular vote of Americans. And if Obama is reelected and the economy improves over the next 4 yrs, a Democrat would have a chance in 16.

What broader world is this?
Broader than the listeners and viewers of Rush and FOX News and broader than the opinion of many of the conservatives on places such as CAF. It’s a big world out there beyond.
