Some peoples reading skills leave a lot to be desired. No one said Carville is fanning flames of class warfare. I believe he developed the marketing scheme that Obama campaign has adopted. Carville 6-8 months ago on one of the talking head shows he posit, that the only path to victory for Obama, was to create a class divide pitting the middle class against the rich. Not exactly his words but he kept up the, “It’s the middle class stupid” meme. Of course his interlocutor kept bleating his famous, “It’s the economy stupid” Clinton theme. But, Carville said no Obama has to stay away from that and focus on the resentment of rich people. Obama cannot run on his record but has to paint Romney as evil.Carville’s fanning the flames of class warfare? How?
No but Obama does with his, ”You didn’t build that.” The complicity of the MSM harping on about Romney saying his message will not resonate with the non-income tax paying voters so he wasn’t worried about them. Pretending that is contempt. Oh well, “Ain’t that America ……”Did he dismiss half of America as hopeless losers?
No I think admiration/support/contentment goes opposite of jealousy. What is the opposite of jealousy?..I’m pretty sure contempt fits the bill.
The sad truth is that no one, Democratic or Republican, has any idea where Romney stands on the issue of abortion. When running for office in Massachusetts, he was strongly pro-choice. Now he’s strongly pro-life. One day he says he’d permit abortions for rape or incest or to protect the health of the mother. The next day, his campaign walks back that comment and says that he didn’t mean what he said and that he’s against abortion under all circumstances. You have ZERO evidence that Mitt Romney would return to what was frankly a rather mild pro choice position (similar to that of John Roberts if you listened to the hearings when he was being considered for SCOTUS). People will vote to re-elect President Obama because he gives them “free stuff like mobile phones, food stamps, more welfare”? To be honest, I’ll vote for President Obama because of his policies and because Romney appears to want to give “free stuff” to the wealthy rather than caring for the rest of Americans. I give the American people a lot more credit than you do. They see through the smoke-and-mirrors of plutocrats like Romney who have presided over a transfer of wealth from average Americans to the wealthy.I disagree, they are in touch with the important things. They know who is giving them free stuff like mobile phones, food stamps more welfare. Yup, they got a grip on the important things, which is why they are voting for OBAMA.
Thanks for the corrections, but they might sit better if you had not tried to make “resonate” a synonym for something Romney*** actually said ***in that ‘secret’ tape. Some peoples reading skills leave a lot to be desired. It’s called the new “get out the vote” strategy (now that the original one has run into some legal snags because of a firm that is now accused of voter fraud). What is that strategy? Accuse your opponent’s supporters of wanting “free stuff”, trivialize their reasons for supporting your opponent, rationalize why your message doesn’t “resonate” with them…that should get them all fired up to vote -People will vote to re-elect President Obama because he gives them “free stuff like mobile phones, food stamps, more welfare”? The American voting electorate contains many lemmings who will vote for the candidate who gives them the most. That, of course, is usually the Democratic candidate. Romney is trying to see that the government takes less from everyone so more people can actually keep what they have or earn. He will preserve the safety net, as will Obama, but I see his candidacy in a more positive light. Romney wants to empower everyone.People will vote to re-elect President Obama because he gives them “free stuff like mobile phones, food stamps, more welfare”? Romney has a pro life record as governor so it is not true to say it is not know where he stands. Somebody who is pro abortion does not pass pro life bills and try to defend the conscience rights of Catholics hospitals as he did in MAThe sad truth is that no one, Democratic or Republican, has any idea where Romney stands on the issue of abortion. When running for office in Massachusetts, he was strongly pro-choice. Now he’s strongly pro-life. One day he says he’d permit abortions for rape or incest or to protect the health of the mother. If you can peer into Romney’s mind and heart, perhaps you can tell us all what Romney’s true position. However, you cannot believe what he says on the subject, because he’s adopted just about every position possible when it suited his political purposes. However, to most on CA Forums, being a flip-flopper on the abortion issue is better than being consistently pro-choice. That is, the devil you don’t know is better than the devil you know.
Sorry but your human pretzel imitation is lacking in facts. As a Catholic you cannot in good conscious vote for the most militant PRO ABORTION president in history on the lame theory that you aren’t quite sure about Romney’s position. The sad truth is that no one, Democratic or Republican, has any idea where Romney stands on the issue of abortion. Romney may or may not be pro-life, that still does not make him a better candidate for president in my estimation. Saying you’re against abortion (even considering that it might have become true since you last accepted it as allowable), helps the unborn how exactly?Romney has a pro life record as governor so it is not true to say it is not know where he stands. Somebody who is pro abortion does not pass pro life bills and try to defend the conscience rights of Catholics hospitals as he did in MA
Obama supports inrestricted aboriton, has tried to illegally push abortion in Kenya and funds the UN population fund promoting forced abortion in China
Romney has said he is pro life, has a pro life record to back it up and Paul Ryan is pro life
There is no comparison. I see the reasoning of trying to make out Romney is not pro life as trying to make onself feel better about supporting the most pro abortion president in history. If you make yourself believe that Romney is not truly pro life that gives an excuse in some peoples minds to support Obama because if you make yourself believe they are both pro abortion then it does not matter who you vote for: it is not true
Wow that’s interesting revisionist history. And to which plutocrats do you refer? Who’s done better under Obama, the rich, many of whom are making a killing in the stock market or the poor and middle class who have seen their assets and incomes drop like a rock in the past four years? How 'bout that four years of record unemployment? Record LOW rates of growth? Record deficits and debt? Who’s going to be hurt by Obama’s policies of transferring billions to his donor base through “green energy” loans, kickbacks and buy offs to union BOSSES, not union members, many of who are suffering under Obama’s anti business, anti natural resources policies?People will vote to re-elect President Obama because he gives them “free stuff like mobile phones, food stamps, more welfare”? Not just me…here’s a recent study of incomes dropping more during Obama’s “recovery” than during the “recession.”Say what you really feel, LisaA. Don’t pull any punches!![]()
I’m in your corner. I support the Romney ticket 100%.Not just me…here’s a recent study of incomes dropping more during Obama’s “recovery” than during the “recession.”

Yes the poor and middle class are doing SO much better under Mr Obama…NEVER have we seen such drops in median income.
I like sticking to the facts

Talking of fairy tales…how did that ‘trickle down’ thing work for us in the last decade or so? That’s the missing chapter before the discussion of “record unemployment”, decreased assets etc…I mean, all that trickling increased incomes and gave us a rock solid economy before Obama’s election, right?Wow that’s interesting revisionist history. What we have is the mess Obama has left us. He entered his first term with promises of halving the deficit (reduction of approximately $4.5 trillion). Instead, he has increased the deficit by $6 trillion. Is that how “trickling up” works under Democratic economic theories?Talking of fairy tales…how did that ‘trickle down’ thing work for us in the last decade or so? I do so love a happy ending…um, the last time we ‘trickled’ as policy that’s what we got right?
Uh, uh, I asked for the ‘happy ending’ that Trickle Down left us - that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Obama. What we have is the mess Obama has left us. More revisionist history. The economy was FINE until the Democrats came in in 07. Remember when President Bush was trying to rein in Freddy and Fanny but good ol’ DEMOCRAT Barney Frank stood in his way and bellowed they were still good investments right before the implosion.Talking of fairy tales…how did that ‘trickle down’ thing work for us in the last decade or so? Oh, now it’s Congress’ fault that the economy imploded in ‘08? So why is it not the do-nothing Congress’ fault that the recovery has not been more robust?More revisionist history. I don’t know about you but I’d LOVE to go back to the Bush era of low unemployment, prosperity, rising incomes and asset values.
Too bad Democrat policies ruined it.
