The fact that Ron Paul wants to take the foreign aid we illegally and unconstitutionally give to Israel and Saudia Arabia and the rest of the world and give it back to the American taxpayer and the poor and disadvantaged in THIS country DOES NOT make him an "anti-semite." The fact that he put America First rather than Israel and Saudi Arabia First, makes him a true American patriot, all fallacious attacks of "antisemitism" to the contrary.
Thanks for reminding me. In addition to the immigration issue, the GOP needs to get back to realism in foreign policy. Only engage the military when our direct national interest is involved. No more nation building.

Okay correction

Many of Ron Paul followers are racist and antisemtic
Many Republicans are racist and antisemitic.

Many Democrats are racist and antisemitic.

Many Rastafarians are racist and antisemitic.

and on and on…

What’s your point other than tossing out baseless aspersions.

Prejudice seems to be an intricate part of mans flaw, its the inability to disturb your own comfortability for the sake of mankind, the thinking becomes since I am from Mars I’d rather be around my Green Brothers.

What I find facinating is how we quickly blame each other for this quirk/fault that all seem to have.

To have an emotive connection to those who are similar to you is part of our instinct. It is a natural part of our instinct. Its normal and does not make one a “racist”. When we allow that animus to pervade our decision making process to the detriment of people not like us is what makes one a racist.

Statements like “Ron Paul is a crackpot.” “Ron Paul is a racist.” “Constitutionalists are fringe extremists.” amuse me. Not because they have little if ANY support to back it up, but it accomplishes exactly what neo-con Republicans want, and exposes their TRUE alligence"
According to Saul Alinsky’s Strategy: Win At Any Cost, Even If You Have To Lie
4) Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
Baseless ridicule is almost impossible to counter because it is meant to be irrational. It infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage. It also works as a pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
If we ignore the neo-cons’ tactic, they will either walk away or be forced to debate (and that ain’t likely).

Now, lets move to more mature discussion:

Ron Paul said the reason for the failure of the Constitution was that it is only fit to govern a virtuous and moral people, and that as liberty and responsibility take root, it will continue to be fit for such a virtuous and moral people. He also said that the essence of this morality is to denigrate aggression.
What can be done, beyond the usual catch all response of education, to instill virtue and empathy and morality as Ron is addressing it?

Homophily (i.e., “love of the same”) is the tendency of individuals to associate and bond with similar others. The presence of homophily has been discovered in a vast array of network studies. More than 100 studies that have observed homophily in some form or another establish that similarity breeds connection. These include age, gender, class, and organizational role. This is often expressed in the adage “birds of a feather flock together”. Individuals in homophilic relationships share common characteristics (beliefs, values, education, etc.) that make communication and relationship formation easier. Homophily often leads to homogamy—marriage between people with similar characteristics. – Wikipedia

I didn’t want to confuse anyone by misinterpretation of the “homo” word…😃

Yea, let’s stay to the far right and see how that works out in future elections. :rolleyes:/QUOTE]

That seems to be the direction the weather vanes are pointing, judging by most of the rhetoric I’ve heard lately. The party of Lincoln appears headed toward irrelevance, if not dissolution.

Unless you are an environmentalist, minority, atheist, secular humanist, abortionist, socialist, gay, or lesbian, there may be no viable alternative for the remainder of America. Irrelevance might indeed be the proper term for this latest group of disaffected Americans. White heterosexual pro-life Christians face a tough political future.

Good thing pro life Christians are called to look to Him and not the political.

Catholics are not allowed to assume to know the intent of other people’s hearts. It’s also against the rules of these forums. I am a Ron Paul supporter and can tell you the statement that generalizes his followers is patently false, and I have to question your reason for posting it?
As a Ron Paul supporter do you support how he voted against banning sex selection abortions and how he is in favor of legalizing all drugs?

LOL!

Falsely accusing Ron Paul of “racism” and “antisemitism” is not only a mortal sin and a legal issue, it is also one of the oldest, dirtiest, predictable tricks in the book.

It is also a grave injustice to TRUE racism and TRUE antisemitism.

You should be ashamed of yourself!
Nobody should accuse anyone of a mortal sin because unless you are God Almighty (which you aren’t) you can’t know what is in a person’s heart or mind and that is the one of the 3 conditions to make a sin mortal.

Does that apply to how individuals vote?

Supporting such legislation would have enabled the abortion industry to constitute a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ type policy, that would have given excuse to abortions and nothing would have changed.

The war on drugs has been most successful, hasn’t it? It has filled our prisons and created many jobs, at a very high cost, fighting the never ending war. I remember the committee Nixon referred marijuana use to, to list the dangers once and for all. They came back and said it was much safer than originally thought to be.

It’s something to see people who argued against not believing a candidate who changed positions, and then spin facts against someone who sought to place legislation of issues under the individual states, thus removing the federal government that they also say needs to be reduced.

Friend, go back and read the posts in the correct order, starting with PaulfromIowa. Thank You.

Whatever errors PaulfromIowa may have said about Ron Paul supporters doesn’t change the fact that none of us can say that another person has committed a mortal sin.

Perhaps so but common decency and integrity would say that you would be opposed to it.

Ah yes the famous war on drugs has been unsuccessful hasn’t it? How has the war on murder been lately? God only knows how many trillions of dollars has been spent on it and murder will never stop. Or the war on stealing? How much has been spent/wasted/stolen on it? Since taxation is considered theft to Ron Paul supporters (cornerstone of Libertarian belief) isn’t the war on theft with theft from the people hypocritical? [/sarcasm off]

We’ve seen years and years of politicians playing moral cards and nothing was changed to stop abortions. Do you doubt that Ron Paul was pro life?

Did we win the war on alcohol? What about the committee Nixon turned to, the one that stated marijuana was much safer than was said?

Now, people buy drugs and go off alone, with no exposure to guidance on how to stop.

Is a person’s choice to do drugs a victimless crime, when compared to the examples you provide?

Drugs are not a victimless crime.
