Rosalind Moss' New Community -Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope

Here is exciting news for older women who have always wanted to be a nun. I just returned from a Catholic Business Breakfast and Rosalind Moss (of Catholic Answers) announced she is founding a new order of nuns that will evangelize on the streets. They will be wearing the traditional nun’s habits. Rosalind who is turning 65 said she will accept all ages. This will all start to happen in three months. All the preliminary papers have been signed and approved.👍
 
I’ll be the first on her door step to find out more!

Oh Cloisters…it was such an exciting morning at the breakfast. Rosalind is going to BECOME a real live nun…veil and all. She will no longer be a “laylady” and she is beaming with enthusiasm. She was telling us her dream of “flooding” the subways and streets with habit clod real nuns teaching the truth of Catholicism. She wants “millions” of nuns all over the USA. She was telling about her plan of inviting people to dinner and in turn they were to invite the nuns to dinner. It didn’t matter whether they were the poorest of the poor or the richest of the rich. She wants to go everywhere in the US. People were laughing when she told about visiting the spiritually “poor” of the Hollywood area. All the nuns will be apologists spreading the truth.
She will be the head of the nuns (she didn’t call herself Mother because she plans to go through all the steps of becoming a nun and not jump immediately to Mother)
I am so happy to hear you will be knocking on her door. If I were widowed I would be joining you. I hope all widows consider this opportunity.

Sure…if they are old enough to sign a contract. Rosalind didn’t give a minimum age but I am assuming they need to be old enough to vote.
The color of the habits will be either blue or traditional black. She had us take a vote and half of us voted for blue because the order will be in honor of Mary. I wish I had written down the name of the order because it is a long name. But the name will honor Mary the Jewish mother of God.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I am a married Lay Passionist with two teen-age sons. I’m about to found my own cloistered order: cloisters.tripod.com/cloisterites/

I was wanting to invite her to our private founders’ forum.

Thank you for the above, Blossom…sadly, I dont have pay television and EWTN here in Australia is only on pay TV. I only have free to air channels. I am hoping that perhaps
Rosalind will set up a website for her new Order, so one can stay in touch with what is happening and also find all about the structure of the Order…Blessings - Barb:)

I think you have to have DSL modem in order to stream them.

To find EWTN, just go to Religious TV on the right hand side of the screen and then choose USA.

This site saved me a couple of months ago, when my TV went out.

I actually watched some news broadcasts from Iran. VERY interesting:rolleyes:

I am afraid that my TV is very very ancient and was given to me. I dont know what a DSL modem is…I am very poor and live a very simple lifestyle and keep things that way:thumbsup: . This computer was given to me and all expenses in connection with it paid for as they crop up. As I understand things here in Australia we can only get EWTN through pay TV which I dont have and cannot afford, and this is why I am hoping that at some point Rosalind will set up a website which will enable me to keep in touch with what is happening in her Order. Sorry to be difficult:o

You can only get EWTN through pay tv anywhere. It isn’t broadcast over the airwaves. That’s not because EWTN wants to charge folks money for it. It’s because to get EWTN through paid tv, they only have to get it set up with a couple of tv providers. To get it broadcast, they’d have to go out and pay for airtime on tv stations in every city that they wanted it on.

That website is simply a website that takes tv signals and sends them over the internet. All a DSL modem is is a particular type of internet service.

All you need to do if you want to see EWTN is go to the link that was posted and try it out. If it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. 🙂

Thank you…I know pay TV for broadcasters would probably be frightfully expensive…the link seems to work but no sound but then I dont have speakers. All the buttons etc. on the site a mystery to me. Probably best to contact me via PM rather than take this thread off topic if you would like to explain further …altho I warn you, I am a complete technological dyslexic :o .and will probably prove to be a dreadful problem…thank you very much for trying…

Writing to Bishop Burke in St Louis might be the way to go for anyone interested in more details.
 
Wow! This is great. I remember listening to Roslind Moss on Open Line and Catholic Answers years ago, she answered so many questions for me about the Faith.

I do hope that they have a Lay Associate program…I would love to be a part of it!

I will pray for her new community. And of course, off to check out the links…
 
Tomorrow Wednesday, February 20 Rosalind Moss will be on the Catholic Answers radio show. She will then be telling much more about her new order. Her scheduled time is 4:00 Pacific time (you do the math for your time zone) Sometimes she switches her time with Father Serpa so you would be smart to listen during the 3:00 hour too.🙂
 
This is extraordinary! I can’t wait to learn more about it and I am very, very interested. I am discerning and will definitely check this out seriously. Thank you for posting about this. 🙂
