Loved this part of the schedule thought it was approperiate to post:

As can be seen when power is abused by anyone. The selective morality of the pro-choice but anti-war group come to mind very quickly. When the stolen and destroyed documents that could be critical to our safety are returned and true punishment is administered to those that took them then I will look at the the e-mail situation. Until then morality IMHO is being selectively enforced and scrutinized.

Any government business that’s being conducted must be preserved. It doesn’t matter where it’s being done. If they were deliberately using the RNC accounts to try and keep government business “off the books,” then they were violating the law.

The problem for the administration appears to be that there have already been emails using RNC accounts brought forward that discuss government activity. Remember, when you send an email, someone else gets a copy of it and it’s on their server.
 
Susan Ralston, who was Karl Rove’s executive assistant, invited two lobbyists working for Jack Abramoff to use her RNC e-mail account to avoid “security issues” with the White House e-mail system, writing: “I now have an RNC blackberry which you can use to e-mail me at any time. No security issues like my WH email.” Ms. Ralston similarly wrote Mr. Abramoff: “I know [sic] have an RNC laptop at the office for political use. I can access my AOL email when necessary so if you need to send me something that I need to read, you can send to my AOL email and then call or page me to check it.”

Actually, they are supposed to keep a copy of all of their work. When people are hired to work in any departement of the government, especially for the Executive Branch, they get extensive training in what they can and cannot do.

The bigger question is what were they trying to accomplish? Was there a deliberate and concerted effort to keep White House business “off the books?” Because if there was, that’s a clear violation of law.

The point is that if Ms. Ralston and others were using the RNC accounts to do government business and avoid “security issues,” they may have violated the law. Furthermore, if it’s something that everyone is doing to avoid “security issues” then it’s a potential conspiracy to break the law by key members of the Executive Branch.

They admit that they “screwed up.” It’s just not clear what they mean by it.

Sentence First, Trial Later! Off with their heads! Can you beleive that some of them were actually engaging in politics!!!

There is no there there. Personally I am enjoying all these witch hunts-it keep the Democrats from passing any laws.

Hear Hear 👍 It is also making those that were expecting change in the way politics is run now see the truth that the mud slinging gets dirtier and dirtier, while the country sees no improvement in anything. Wait till the many lower & middle class taxpayers get higher tax bills because of the “everything Bush does is bad” syndrome.

No telling what the evil Bushies will do next! Do you think next we’ll learn they were rennting out the Lincoln Bedroom to the Highest Bidder and or sexually harrasiing and having adulterous affiars with the young women who work in the White House?

It has already started . . The infamous Alternative Minimum Tax ,insituted by the Democrats in 1969 to go after 21 millionaires that they didnt think paid enogh taxes will hit some 23 million Americans next year. it will hit hardest to those taxpayers who live in States with high income taxes. The last time the Democrats adreseed this tax was in 1992 to , you guessed it, raise it.

A single person who makes over $75,000(the Democrat definition of “rich:” ) could pay this tax next year.

You act as though it’s only possible to do one thing at a time. There are a lot of people in Congress and the White House and they have enormous staffs; the White House alone has over a thousand people working for it.

Oversight is part of the job description of Congress so they have people whose job it is to do…oversight. The White House has lawyers and staffers whose only job is to liason with Congress; just like that Monica Goodling’s only job was to be the liason between the Justice Department and the White House.

Congress has barely gotten started on its oversight duties. It seems that incompetence and ethically questionable conduct is dropping from the trees with barely a nudge. The Republican run Congress had its chance to do oversight and they collectively bailed on the country. Now the adults are in charge of the children who have been running amuck. We should be wishing them good luck.

Part is the optimum word. Also it seems to me they have started their WITCH HUND quite well. Inuendo and speculation made public does not make something true.

The Republicans found that running the country while at war tended to keep them occupied and left very little time for the WITCH HUNT. But then it is just my opioion and history will prove who is correct.
