Roy Moore's Accuser Count is now up to 9

It’s an interesting twist, considering Republicans seemed to have no problem with Ken Starr, a Republican since the mid-70s, going after Bill Clinton.
By then, I was in the process of leaving the Dem party. But still, I HATED the Starr investigation. Just a witch hunt.

And looks like there’s a bit of an “oops” regarding Moore. Seems the 14 year old forged some of the stuff written in the year book, and it matters.

Not that I like Moore. I don’t. But forgery?

It was an annotation, not a forgery. Nothing in the addition falsifies what Moore wrote in the year book.

The man lusted after a 14 year old girl, and people are trying to wash that away with the flimsiest of excuses.

I sure came to the wrong place for a moral point of view, that much is certain.

What did Roy Moore do that was immoral?

the handwriting matches the handwriting of the graduation card sent to the other girl.
Has a handwriting expert, somebody that has no association with any of the accusers, lawyers, or with Roy Moore, been able to assess the card and yearbook in person to confirm or not the veracity of the handwriting as Roy Moore’s or not?

The 14 year old is Leigh Corfman. She isn’t the one with the yearbook.

14 year old girls are often still in eight grade.

It was an annotation that (unless I’m mistaken and correct me if I am wrong), was not publicly revealed until today, why was that and why did she add the date and location? Also from the following tweet by Washington Post reporter Michael Scherer, “Gloria Allred initially attributed that writing to Moore”. Now we know that was an innacurate attribution. Did Beverley Nelson originally tell Gloria Allred that the date and location had originally been written by Roy Moore? I think these are fair questions to ask.

You comment as if with certainty that Roy Moore is guilty. I couldn’t comment with such certainty myself. I don’t know if Roy Moore is guilty. If he wins the senate race , a senate ethics investigation is the best course of action since a police investigation can’t be done unfortunately. Hopefully that ethics committee investigation would be able to assess the allegations and determine their truthfulness. Roy Moore could be a guilty man, but there is a chance he is innocent and I want to be careful before putting a guilty verdict on him if a full investigation has not been done.

He approached a 14 year old girl at a courthouse under the pretext of watching her while her mother went into a custody hearing. (The mother remembers and court records show they were both at the courthouse st the same time)

Then he got her number. Then he picked her up in his car around the corner from her house.

Then drove her to his home, lay blankets on the floor. Undressed her to her under garments and fondled her. He had undressed to his underwear as well.

BUT. I’m projecting. Statute of limitations. It was s long time ago. People deserve forgiveness. He doesn’t seem to have done this recently. Because these actions are insignificant, there’s no other way to end abortion and foster a culture of life.

I would never defend a man who did such a thing. Where did you get these facts? Has he admitted he did this? Why are you bringing up abortion? Did he get her pregnant and force her to have an abortion?

I’m bringing up abortion, because that’s the reason being given that people should vote for him.

Leigh Corfman was interviewed by Washington Post and gave a TV interview. She used her name.

She told a number of people along the way. Including a boyfriend she told just s few years ago.

You answered a post I had written which had nothing to do with abortion. I never ever said that it was okay to molest women and children, even if they opposed abortion. I don’t think anybody said anything like that on this thread. You are setting up a strawman argument.

Sexually assaulting a 14 year old is moral conduct ?

Go back a few posts.

My last paragraph wasn’t aimed at you, but my frustration at the matter.

Back 35 years or so, at the end of eight grade my good friend asked if a woman could get pregnant if she had sex during her period.

She told me that the father of the family she would babysit for came home early one afternoon, and as she described had sex with her. I believed her. She was too scared to be lying. She told this to me on day before I moved. I didn’t know at 13 that what she experienced was rape. I didn’t tell anyone because she thought she would get in trouble if she told.

I am as certain as anyone can be that Moore is guilty. The women, who have identified themselves, put themselves at risk of legal peril by making the accusation.

But I get it, he’s Roy Moore and he’s going to get abortion banned somehow, so supporting an accused molester of teenage girls can easily be dismissed.

. How much longer do you continue with this rumor mongering and misrepresenting the truth
Please point out where I am spreadig any rumors. I am one of the few here who acknowledge the accusations are terrible, yet there are problems with said accusations.

You, on the other hand, keep spewing out the rumor of unproven accusations and representing them as facts.

Thank you for accurately inserting the word “accused”.

However I doubt anyone will “easily dismiss” the accusations.
Are you kidding? It’s either “there’s no proof”, to my personal favorite of Moore wanting the purity of youth.

Just make it plain. Some people will vote for an accused molester of teenage girls, and ignore or rationalize away the accusations, for reasons of political expediency. Many of these same people were pounding their proverbial tables about the Clintons last year.

Not defending Moore, whom I dislike. But the article says it was forged, not an “annotation”. Now, maybe she wrote the additional things (which are very significant as to time and place) to make it appear Moore wrote those things, and maybe she didn’t. But from the article, it appears she did.

Your being certain does not make those who are not certain pedophile lovers.
