I said:
Couldn’t possibly be because it takes a supermajority to get things passed.
Or the fact that even when Republicans get anti-abortion laws passed, leftist judges declare them unconstitutional.
Nope, in Jigs world where Republicans must all be evil/racist/mysogenist nazis…it’s because we are all FOR child molestation.
So, you agree that voting for a Republican on the issue of abortion is pretty much meaningless, but you are going to give the Republicans a pass on the issue for some reason. Well, at least you agree with the premise.
Now, if you put the issue of abortion to the side, you can choose between the child molester and the not child molester for Senate.
Hold on a minute there Skippy…you just missed everything I said. (not surprised)
You said “even when the Republicans are in charge, abortion remains legal. PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY NOMINATE CHILD MOLESTERS …”
I bring up the factual points that it takes a super-majority to pass new legislation. Because of that, the Democrats continually block any new abortion restrictions.
And when the states (like Texas) pass new abortion restrictions, they are shot down by leftist judges.
And somehow YOU conflate that to “voting for a Republican on the issue of abortion is pretty much meaningless”.
No. I vote for people on what they say they are going to do. If we can get enough pro-life Republicans in the house and senate, maybe we could do something about it. AT LEAST we can move the needle toward getting more conservative, constitutional, and pro-life judges on the bbench.
Putting aside the issue of abortion to the side, then the choice is a big-government leftist versus a far-right states-rights guy who has been ACCUSED of terrible things.
That’s up to the people to decide. I’m glad I don’t have to choose in that election because, like I’ve said, there are two terrible candidates.
But let’s turn the tables around here, Take out the 40 year old accusations…you can choose between the pro-abortion Democrat or the pro-choice Moore…who would you choose?
