Russia will be converted?

I tend to not trust conspiracy theories at the best of times and I am most suspicious of those put forward by radical traditionalists (I tend to trust the Pope and the Holy See, which is what I think our sweet Mother would want). AND it deals with prophecy, which is either going to play out or not. There’s nothing we can do about it one way or the other. I believe lots of souls go to Hell (there’s nothing terribly new there, is there, didn’t our Lord say the way was narrow and few were they that found it?) and I believe the “Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell” is entirely and soberly necessary. So why don’t we all concentrate on that?

I appreciate you answer MrS. But one must take into account the potential gravity of the situation. Why your thought is suggesting that in an effort to spare Russia’s feelings, the popes put the entire world in jeopardy of catastrophy. This doesn’t add up.
I think about this aspect of it sometimes. From what Robert has put together, it appears that the Vatican state dept. did not want Russia mentioned explicitly, and the Bishops would not cooperate.

Pius XII did consecrate Russia, but not in conjunction with the world’s Bishops. This was during the cold war era. I imagine Bishops in some countries (i.e., Finalnd, etc.) would be concerned. Doing it in conjunction with the world’s Bishops was added after the original apparition (1929). Apparently the Vatican accepted it because the consecration was tried 4 more times.

I tend to believe JPII wanted to do it.

And this is why I no longer believe in Fatima. I don’t have to. I don’t care if several popes did, including the late great JPII. I think it was diabolical. Because of the FRUIT!
I think that is taking it too far. The consecration has not been done, so there should be no fruit.

You people are only proving my point: it was done, no it wasn’t, yes it was… and on and on and on. So much deception and secrecy. It’s gnostics who want to know secrets and trick the world with their “secrets.” She added a prayer to the rosary that, if said, forces us to invoke the name of “hell” ten times! It is diabolical. Not to mention that she directly contradicts Church teaching by saying that there are many souls in hell – only God and the devil have that kind of information, not our Blessed Mother. Only the Father has such information, including information about the Second Coming of Christ.

I don’t believe that Our Lady needs to make use of a floating “orb” like the Good Witch of the North, in order to “descend” to earth! So many witnesses of demons and aliens claim that they saw them descending in the exact same kind of orbs. It is diabolical, and it is causing so much division in the Church, and it is used to justify every kind of abuse.

A consecration was done but not the one requested. There may have been some fruit due to it, but not the promised fruit were consecration were done as requested.

Still trying to be your own pope trth_skr? Your ignorance is showing.

Your ignorance is showing. I don’t have to believe in Fatima! It is a private revelation, and there is a reason why we don’t have to believe in private revelations. Check your catechism.

Your right, you don’t have to. I’m just simply saying for fact that the consecration was done.

Thank you for your personal opinion. I agree with the pope. “… one does not oppose to the Pope’s authority that of others, however learned they may be, who differ from him. For however great their learning, they must be lacking in holiness, for there can be no holiness in dissension from the Pope.” [Pope St. Pius X (allocution of 18 November, 1912, AAS vol. 4 (1912), 693-695. Selection from p. 695]

Russia was Russian Orthodox, not Catholic
Jimmy,

If Christ is present in any particular Church, then it is Catholic. Eastern Orthodox churches are true particular churches.

**First Fatima Shrine in Russia Dedicated
**Immaculate Heart of Mary Enthroned in Russia
— A Day To Remember —

“At last someone comes from Russia.” Those were the words spoken by Sister Lucia, the sole survivor of the three little Shepherds to whom Our Lady appeared at Fatima in 1917. She spoke them to Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz when he came to her from Moscow… At the dedication in the presence of the same statue Sister Lucia venerated the Archbishop quoted Our Lady of Fatima: “Russia will be converted.”

From the above article…
I interviewed the Archbishop for television and while he quotes our Lady in saying, “Russia will be converted”, I said to him that some think the whole process of conversion is taking place all too slowly. He replied that all things considered, including the suppression of religion for seven decades, things have been happening quickly. “One can change the name of a City easily and quickly. [Leningrad back to St. Petersburg]. But it is not so easy to change the hearts of millions of people and this takes time.”

The consecration was not doctrinal or dogmatic. It was not a teaching of the pope. We can dispute it, and I purposely stated it was my persoanl opinion.

In Mexico 8 million indians converted in 2 years after the Virgin appeared.

Do you accept any Marian apparitions (Lourdes, La Sallette, Akita…)?

Here’s one for you. “Nine years before that in 1929, Our Lady had asked for the collegial consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, promising that it would be a sign of Russia’s conversion. But when the consecration was not made at that time, Our Lord told Sr. Lucia that it would eventually be accomplished, but: ‘It will be too late; Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world.’” (p. 381, Trial, Tribulation and Triumph).
"After the collegial consecration made by the Pope in 1984, Lucia said: “The consecration will have an effect, but it is too late.”

Martin’s edition of Lucia’s Memiors, Porto, 1973, page 465 (Quoted from Akita, p. 63).
trth_skr, why don’t you try this qoute above on for size. But you’ve seem to have overlooked it.

That may be possible. First, it was too late. Second Lucia said it would have “an” effect,. The reason it did not have the full effect may have been because it was too late, and possibly [not stated] that it was not done as requested. Sr. Lucia has been on record many times saying that Russia must be specified, not the world. I did say the consecration may have some fruit (effect), but I suspect not the full effect expected were it done as requested.

Do you dismiss that:
  1. Russia was not mentioned?
  2. That there were reports that many Bishops would not cooperate in consecrating Russia?
  3. That the Vatican state dept. disuaded JPII from mentioning Russia?

To mention Russia specifically would have insulted them, for they have a Christian heritage. But John Paul did have Russia in mind in the consecration in 1984. Plus, communism fell in Russia in 1991. How you do answer that? There is no evidence that Vatican state dept disuaded JPII from mentioning Russia. Father Serpa has said on many occasions, that Fatima is a private revelation and is subject to the vicar of Christ on earth. IT IS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, trth_skr. The pope has full authority regarding the interpretation of private revelations and their implentation you have no authority what so ever to say otherwise trth_skr. It is not for us to second guess his desicions on these matters. Our Lady promised us a period of peace not peace without end. You seem to have a very nationalistic interpretation of things.

check out these link, and these are the facts. Which totally contradict what you said, you have some explaining to do.
