I’ve been feeling very sad all day at the thought of Jesus being tortured and crucified. I know that atonement came from it, but why call it good when it is so sad?

You could be particularly attuned to the Paschal Moon phases too. Easter Sunday falls directly after the first full moon of spring (in the northern hemisphere). That phase is referred to as the paschal moon and evokes a time of sombre reflection in human experience like a period of darkness before a bright new dawn. This year the actual peak of the paschal full moon is on Good Friday itself.I’ve been feeling very sad all day at the thought of Jesus being tortured and crucified. It reminds me that I had a part to play in Christ’s death. It was difficult tonight to read the chorus parts - crucify Him.
