Vern, something tells me that you wouldn’t happy living in my New York City any more than I would happy living in your part of Arkansas. 🙂

Every time I visit my daughter who works in New York City, I see news stories of violent crimes.

I’m happy living in the United States. I admit I’d be happier if fewer people were willing to flount the Constitution and impose their will on their fellow citizens.

As in imposing a requirement to allow guns when all the people in an area say, “Not in my neighborhood!”? 🙂

As in imposing a requirement to allow Catholics to attend Mass when all the people in an area say, “Not in my neighborhood!”?

As in imposing a requirement to allow people to speak freely when all the people in an area say, “Not in my neighborhood!”?

As in imposing a requirement to trial by jury all the people in an area say, “Lynch him!”?

NO GUNS for adults old enough to make the choice to have one

NO MILITARY RECRUITMENT for highschool age kids or college age kids

but YES to girls under 18 being able to get an ABORTION with out a parents consent.

It is hard to understand…

I just want to add that banning Military Recruiting is a violation of the 1918 Sedition Act which outlaws aiding the enemy, OBSTRUCTING RECRUITING, PROMOTING DISLOYALITY and INTERFERING WITH THE WAR EFFORT or USING DISLOYAL, PROFAME, SCURRILOUS LANGUAGE ABOUT THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT and calls for stiff prison terms of 20 years or more. This law was passed by a DEMOCRATIC Congress and signed by a DEMOCRATIC President.

It was contested that it violate a person’s first amendment rights by prohibiting speaking out against the war and the government, and it was upheld by the US Supreme Court as BEING constitutional (“Abrams VS United States”). Those in San Fran who passed this ban on militarty recruitment should be charged with this federal crime and tossed into prison for the next twenty years.
