oh please, she is accomplished nothing but marrying a plandering jerk to put up with it to set herself up to run for president. I think she is better off baking cookies.
The “plandering jerk” you are referring to has apologized profusely for his mistakes. Nobody’s perfect and who are you to judge. Oh, and he is also responsible for saving literally millions of lives through the amazing work of the Clinton Foundation.

She’s nowhere close to Merkel.
Or Margaret Thatcher. Or Mother Theresa. Or any other female saint.

She was an out of town senator, the Sec. of State responsible for the Benghazi attacks, and married a philandering pervert of a man, who embarrassed her on national television.

I can think of better role models than HRC.

HRC can do whatever she wants and you can’t stop her.
Um, nope. That doesn’t fly for anyone. I can’t do whatever I want, you can’t, and neither can she. She’s just a woman, just as you are, just as I am a man.
She is easily one of the most accomplished women of our time.
Yes, she’s done quite a bit of evil in her time so far.

To be fair, I don’t think the poster was using her as a role model, only as an “accomplished” person. It’s a neutral phrase.

Personally, I’m not impressed with her accomplishments.

millions of lives, are you serious? does that mean unborn children? I think I will stick with real Catholics that follow the Church and its saints than the Clintons.

Nancy Pelosi not accomplished? She is only the highest ranking woman politician to serve ever in the history of the USA.
I do know one thing LiberalPrincess. The politicians you seem to support and you as well would do well to read from the CCC, because in my opinion they come dangerously close to what’s being described here, no?
2286 Scandal can be provoked by laws or institutions, by fashion or opinion.
Therefore, they are guilty of scandal who establish laws or social structures leading to the decline of morals and the corruption of religious practice, or to "social conditions that, intentionally or not, make Christian conduct and obedience to the Commandments difficult and practically impossible."87 This is also true of business leaders who make rules encouraging fraud, teachers who provoke their children to anger,88 or manipulators of public opinion who turn it away from moral values.
"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6
Peace, Mark

Totally agreed on all counts. She’s a laughingstock to anyone with their eyes open and without an old, tired and pointless agenda to carry on.

Any foundation that sponsors the killing of unborn children has participated (directly or indirectly) in far more murders than saved lives, Clinton only apologized because he had to, and we can judge actions for that they are. Peoples’ actions speak for themselves.

She’s had great success riding her husbands coattails. Look out Hillary, I think that might be a stain…

I agree and raise you one. I don’t even like the labels in politics. The labels become a substitute for substance and their meaning changes over time. The 60’s liberal who opposed racial qualifications for college admissions is now a conservative for the same position.
Precisely. All one has to do is to read a book like “Tiber Flows into the Rhine” to see examples of this. The book is supposed to take an objective look into the goings on at Vatican II. The author uses the labels “liberal” and “conservative” throughout to the point of if one seems to be in agreement with any of the documents, he today would be labelled a “liberal.” I’m all for the Latin Mass, I love Latin, Gregorian chant, etc. but I wouldn’t exactly call everyone who attends the Novus Ordo a “liberal.”

That was totally uncalled for and crude.

I was here for a mature discussion, and apparently I was wrong. I am DONE with this thread!!!:mad::mad::mad:

and she got to where she got to by marriage not on her own like Sarah Palin who as a wife and mother, ran on her own to become Governor, she didn’t marry someone who she thought would carry her to power. That’s the whole rub here and the hypocracy of it all. Sarah Palin is a real working mom. Hillary didn’t work up to her accomplishment on her own, she married someone that gave her a name to do it. Yet, those on the left side want to mock Sarah for what she has done even though she lived the working women’s dream. Hillary hailed by the left as “accomplished” and “admirable” didn’t do it on her own at all, she had to latch onto a man to do it. And what is Hillaries great accomplishments? four dead Americans. What American has died do to Sarah Palin. none.

This is a good analysis without getting too into the liberal/conservative problem (although it is brought up every once in a while). 🙂

he apologized because he got caught.

You know, you call yourself a “progressive” and use liberal in your title. You quote Nancy P as a signature and openly support pro-abortion,pro-gay marriage politians and when all of that rather in your face stuff comes back to haunt you, get mad and leave. If you truly wanted to have an “intellectual” discussion, you wouldn’t be quoting, admiring and using pro-abortion etc politicians which is I think done to incite responses from other Catholics that are trying to be faithful to the Church. If you want an honest intellectual discussion, you would say I struggle with this or that teaching. This is not what you are exactly doing and it seems like you are here not to discuss what you disagree with in the Church but incite responses and when you get them, storm off.

Sarah Palin is more orthodox and true to the Catholic Church than many so called Catholic politicians like Nancy P. Maybe her thoughts on Pope Francis came about because she is looking at the Catholic church. We could use more orthodox Catholic women in politics and not this lip service to women’s rights which mean pro-abortion but still claim to be publically Catholic. The problem is that if someone is really concerned about women then they would be ardently prolife because abortion hurts women not help them and all the early suffigets were pro-life and spoke out against abortion. If someone is really concerned about women, they would be against pornography which objectifies women. So Sarah who isn’t Catholic wants to understand the Pope and all people can do is join in mocking her because she doesn’t fit their agenda and think she is stupid.
I think her comments were made because her understanding of what the pope is saying is coming through the media.

In the article, I noticed a couple of times where she qualifies what she is saying by wondering how much she should believe what the media is reporting about him.

I have to admit, I sometimes take away the same impression of the pope that she has gotten. Then I read people here saying that what the media are reporting are all wrong, and I am not really sure what to think.

If he isn’t saying all the liberal things, why is he so easily misinterpreted all the time?

One thing I have noticed about Sarah Palin from the article, is that she is getting more attractive as she ages.

Everything that Sara Palin has accomplished in her life should make her a poster child for the feminist left, except for the fact that she ISN’t on the left,so she is automatically written off. The hypocrisy is stunning!
