I watched that video in another thread (it has been closed) she sounded like I do when I’m exhausted and I’m trying to have a conversation about a complex subject and I say words but they don’t really mean anything. For someone who has held a public position I’m surprised she doesn’t know more about the Pope who is a head of state.

Your headline makes it seem like Palin was criticizing Pope Francis. However, her statements were a bit more nuanced:
“He’s had some statements that to me sound kind of liberal, has taken me aback, has kind of surprised me. There again, unless I really dig deep into what his messaging is, and do my own homework, I’m not going to just trust what I hear in the media.”
She continued: “I’m kinda trying to follow what his agenda is. You know he came out with a couple of things in the media but again I’m not one to trust the media’s interpretation of somebody’s message but having read through media outlets,” the former Governor of Alaska said."
Does not seem like she has made up her mind about Fracis yet.That said, Sarah Palin’s 15 minutes are long gone and she needs to go away.

Many of us Christians are extremely perplexed by some of the Pope’s statements. Since Obama is “impressed” with him, and Obama stands against everything Christ taught, Sarah Palin speaks for millions of us right now.

I could not agree more. She is the perfect example that, no matter how much tutoring she may receive, she still can’t discuss a subject intellectually.
I once saw a clip of Glen Beck asking who was her favorite Founding Father; her response was what you would expect of a high school student who wasn’t paying attention…“oh, I like them all!”

I disagree. Despite standing for basically everything I disagree with, I think Palin is far more intelligent and savvy than the media and comedians paint her out to be.

well, I’m not sure about that, I like everything she says. she isn’t Catholic and from what she said, is that she didn’t understand and didn’t want to take her understanding of Pope Francis from the media which already has twisted a number of things around. Liberal women show what big hypocrites they are. Sarah Palin has a family and then works on top of that, the career women extrodinaire but because she doesn’t spout the usual liberal women garbage then she is discounted. Any women who becomes pregnant after 40 and does not abort her disabled child because she IS prolife has my respect and admiration.

Sarah Palin was correct that obama care has death panels buried in the law. She was mocked by liberals. It has turned out to be true. I dont; know what to say to the liberal catholics on this thread. For a non-Catholic, she is definately pro-life but then I suppose that some of you that are bashing her on this thread are prolife and support what the Catholic Church has been teaching in 2000 years? she lives out her pro-life stance which is a lot more than so called liberal catholics can say. She highlights the hypocracy of the feminist movement which is not pro-women unless you spout their beliefs.

Sarah Palin is more orthodox and true to the Catholic Church than many so called Catholic politicians like Nancy P. Maybe her thoughts on Pope Francis came about because she is looking at the Catholic church. We could use more orthodox Catholic women in politics and not this lip service to women’s rights which mean pro-abortion but still claim to be publically Catholic. The problem is that if someone is really concerned about women then they would be ardently prolife because abortion hurts women not help them and all the early suffigets were pro-life and spoke out against abortion.If someone is really concerned about women, they would be against pornography which objectifies women. So Sarah who isn’t Catholic wants to understand the Pope and all people can do is join in mocking her because she doesn’t fit their agenda and think she is stupid.

I do agree with her politics, mostly. I just don’t agree with how she acts. She’s inflammatory in her rhetoric, to the point where she smiles and laughs as she paints liberals as anything other than reasonable, intelligent, or caring.
I don’t expect all conservatives to be as civil as Brit Hume or Charles Krauthammer, but even the oft-derided Bill O’Reilly shows some interest in giving liberal folks and their ideas respect and consideration. The next time you watch Sarah Palin, watch out for how she paints liberals in a smearing way, with a broad brush. If she doesn’t, I’ll be happy for her, but sadly it’s been her M.O. for a long time now.
