Please note that when I posted my pro-life photo featuring Sarah Palin, I tied it in with Paul Revere’s ride thusly, and I quote:

“Paul Revere rode for liberty.
Sarah Palin rides for life.”

~~ the phoenix
A non sequitur.

Here’s what she said on Fox this morning. Still clinging to her story:

“I didn’t mess up about Paul Revere,” Palin said. “Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that ‘hey, you’re not going to take American arms, you are not going to beat our own well-armed persons individual private militia that we have.’”
She blamed her previous answer on the media, saying it was a “gotcha question.” “
Yes. Quoting her verbatim or, as in this case, showing her answer to what was a pretty inocuous question, on video is clearly a case of her commnets being taken ou of context and twisted by the “lamestream media”.

I also will point out her physical ques. Face to face communication is so revealing. Finally, I viewed several videos of the same response. I was hoping to capture the “gotcha question”. If anyone has it please post a link. It’s interesting that all of the local reports in most close proximity to the event clearly state that she got the history wrong. In particular, the local TV station. I would imagine they are pretty well acquainted with the history of the actual events, Longfellows poem notwithstanding. Of course, none of this will make any difference to the Palin supporters.

Regardless of what they consider it, thousands of other people who are not them but who visit CAF have the opportunity to view my posts, which were inspired by them.

👍
Let the nattering nabobs of sarcasm dyed in the wool Democrat (first) pro-choice voting catholics view them too - maybe, just maybe, the scales will drop from their eyes so that they can truly see what’s most important. (hint: it has more to do with promoting the sanctity of life and less to do with the accurate recounting of historical anecdotes).

You know it’s bad when Chris Wallace on Fox can’t keep a straight face!

Let me see if I can get ahead of the conservatives on this one. What this video proves is that Chris Wallace is a secret infultrator from the liberal “lamestream media”. He is clearly a brainwashed minion of those sly and stealthy liberals able to commandeer the minds of even fox news reporters in to ridiculing the intellectual powerhouse that is Sarah Palin. Is that about right?

She’s a regular Bachmann:

"Sarah Palin apparently flubbed details of Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride when she visited Boston yesterday. The former Alaska governor, who may or may not be running for the GOP presidential nomination, thought Revere was warning the British army during the Revolutionary War…

“He who warned, uh, the … the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringin’ those bells and, um, by makin’ sure that as he’s ridin’ his horse through town to send those warnin’ shots and bells that, uh, we were gonna be secure and we were gonna be free … and we were gonna be armed.”

Revere was, in fact, riding from Boston to Lexington to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams of the approaching British army.

But her folks explain (this only being available on a blog):

“Following the Sarah Palin playbook of never admitting error, the ex-governor’s minions are busy flooding the Internet with ’proof’ that Palin did not misspeak when suggesting that Paul Revere warned the British that they would not be taking arms from the colonists during his ride where he, apparently, rung bells and fired muskets.”

Look, you made a mistake. Admit it and move on.
Poor Sarah, she just has an awful time when it comes to History and geography.

Perhaps a touch-up course in those areas might help her when she faces the media (except Fox News which refuses to ask her and question that’s too difficult to answer) might make her life a little more easier should she decide to throw her hat into the ring and run for POTUS.

Yep. You have an eye for the obvious.

Palin was right on the Revere story…

Seriously… take a deep breath and stop watching Palin if she makes you this crazy…
It cant be healthy.

Palin was right on the Revere story…
I think most historians and those with familiarity with the revolutionary period would disagree with you.

This is like when folks spun that Bachmann’s reference to ‘founding fathers’ was accurate. Both of them were wrong.

Admit a mistake and move on.

Nope, she was right.

Why dont you admit she was right and move on.

I love how I post a list of gaffes by the President, and the Palin haters say nothing. Just admit the genius we have in the White House says as many dumb things as palin, or any one else who speaks for a living in the internet age.

I could care less about Palin per se, but the lack of balance and fairness from people when Biden and Obama do it as often is pathetic.

Obamabots.

Look, Paul Revere in his famous ride did not ring any bells nor did he warn the British. Ms. Palins’ claims to the contrary.

She remains abnormally sensitive to criticism, though. It’s the media’s fault!

"In her initial comment and on Sunday, Palin seemed to blend this aspect of the story with Revere actually riding around to warn the Americans that the British were coming. She described Revere warning the British by riding through town, firing warning shots and ringing bells. Warning shots and bells are not included in historical accounts of the ride, either.

“He who warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free,” Palin said to a local TV reporter."

Look, she was wrong.
