No, I don’t see a conspiracy to undermine the Church here, nor have I said anything like that. Bureaucrats would never make good conspirators, in any case. But having worked as a bureaucrat myself, though not in the Church, I can see where bureaucracies can sometimes impede the work that needs to be done.Believe what you want. You seem not to trust anyone who works for the church including the bishops, it’s just all a big conspiracy to undermind the foundation of the church.
By comparrison, how many priest do you have in your parish compared to staff and ministers 2-1, 5-1 10-1, 20-1? The USCCB almost has a 1-1 ratio of staff to bishops.
What has been lost in this thread is that is this conference on Social Justice Issues part or the work of the Church. The answer would be yes. There is a complaint over a few speakers, which is then churned up to be a scandle. That is the work of misgiuded Catholics who are failing to see the mission of the Church.
