Scariest and Most Depressing thing I have read

The Fatima crudsader is a traditionalist catholic website that borders on being schismatic with its frequent condemnations of the Papacy since John Paul II; you’re best taking anythin they say with a pinch of salt as a Catholic

As for the other, I don’t recognise that saint so I cannot comment on its validity. In either case the writings of saints are not doctrines or dogma. I don’t believe Catholics even have to accept Fatima, although admittedly they have been encouraged to do so.
 
Here’s the two sides to this.

Either God is a loving and compassionate father who will welcome sinners to his breast like He’s claimed dozens of times in the Bible.

Or He’s a liar. And not compassionate. But is instead a heartless perfectionist.

There’s only one of the above I’d be comfortable spending an eternity with anyway. 🤷

Don’t fret. Jesus thirsts for our salvation. Focus on God’s mercy and He will give you great hope, confidence and joy. In time, perhaps - but it will come. This is God’s promise. Those who seek Him find life in abundance.

Remember, he died to save us from our sins. It was not in vain!
 
Avoid schismatic groups and those near-schismatics who constantly bash the Catholic Church. This is especially recommended if one suffers from scrupulosity or anxiety issues.

Comforting post. I know if it was up to me I’d be lost, but God is merciful and he loves me. Why? IDK…

I immediately clicked on the second link because I know that “Fatima Crusader” begun by Father Nicholas
Gruner is not approved by the Church. He has not obeyed, (obedience is a good sign!) the Church many times and continues to write what he writes in not a good tone.

The Blue Army is the official apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima.

As I grew up our parish had First Saturday Devotions with the praying of the Rosary. I credit our Lady’s intercession with so many favors and interventions for me. They were associated with the Blue Army.

I knew someone who was a reader of Father Gruner’s materials and this person became very upset with the Church.

Jesus did say Heaven is a narrow path and there are few who find it.

His Apostles asked once: “Who then can be saved?!!!”

To.which Jesus replied; “To man, this is impossible, but through God, it is possible.”

Just stick with the sacraments, confess, live a healthy balanced life, avoid sin, confess if you fall, trust in God’s Mercy,

Jesus told St Faustina, Heaven Is given to those who persevere,
Those who get back up each time they fall.

A Catholic isn’t perfect, a catholic.just gets back up and confesses when they slip,

I read recently:
“It is better to fail occasionally at being perfect,
Then to altogether succeed at being unholy.”

Keep going to confession and trust in His Mercy.

There have always been hellfire preachers. Not all preachers are hellfire preachers. There are other preachers as well. Compare and contrast.

Just by looking at the names of the web addresses I see potential problems.

If you are having issues with this, please talk to your priest. Finding serious answers like that on-line with sites with those kinds of names isn’t always the best.

Ignore that website with its non-Christian misinterpretations, and be comforted by the loving actions and teachings of Jesus Christ expressed in the bible.

I felt something wasn’t right when I clicked “home” on that sermon page.
Quote " To our non-Catholic readers we must stress that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church".

Imagine believing all the good non-Catholic people we know, including those among our closest relatives and friends weren’t going to be saved. That isn’t what the present church teaches.

It’s easy to get caught up in all the depressing stuff out there. Best thing is to put your trust in God’s infinite mercy. “Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find: knock, and the door will be opened to you” etc. Matthew 7:7

"…Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. . John 14:27

I’m not suggesting it’s easy to get into heaven but if you choose God, you’ll do your best to keep his commandments. Love God and love your neighbour as yourself.

“My yoke is easy and My burden light”
 
Nelka, you can scare yourself needlessly with these kinds of “revelations,” which may not even be true, or you can edify yourself with “The Story of a Soul” by St. Therese of Lisieux or “Divine Mercy in My Soul” by St. Faustina Kowalska. Both these autobiographies tell us “be not afraid” (to quote JPII). Our Lord is filled with mercy for us ❤️ and wants to give us mercy rather than punishment.

Humility is the key. :bowdown: Be humble before Our Lord, throw yourself on His mercy as a child would throw himself on the lap of his papa and say honestly, “I’m sorry, I’m scared, I’m a work in progress, have mercy on me!” :imsorry: Our Lord does not want you to go to hell and gives you every opportunity to avoid it. :extrahappy: :twocents:

If one does not make perfect contrition before one dies then I’d assume this is what purgatory was for as well as for making reparation. And who is to say a person hadn’t made a perfect contrition?! There are those that die in the Odor of Sanctity but this is by no means the majority. Many go by way of Purgatory.

Heed good advice from Our Lady but remember that she has been given the authority to make statements about the future and salvation that carve a sure path for us but as for those people on earth who do this, be very careful what you take in, or rather, discern. I am sure all are well intended and some sins can separate us but nevertheless joy is a part of Christian life and you can vote against bad things in the world without having to feed off people’s fear…

So I have a tip: if you ever read anything that takes away your hope and makes it all seem pointless then this advice is probably not from our Creator. Ditch it! With our Creator is always a definite way, which maybe challenges, yet does not take our hope away. As in the case of Our Lady or with the saints, when revelations were revealed, there is also great gentleness, hope and love as well as a definite means of achieving salvation which accompanies any message.

There is a petition site for Fatima (I happen to take this apparition very seriously) and they recently did a very beautiful thing indeed so I guess the point is to practice an element of caution in your search for good reading material.
