It has to be virtually foolproof when a law abiding citizen is using a firearm for self defense.Perhaps more research and development is needed, but considering the recent technological advances, I don’t see where any developing technical problems with grip recognition are insurmountable.
That is a false dichotomy. The vast majority of firearms deaths are by illegal firearms. And criminals will find ways to compromise that system. Further, the overwhelming majority of law abiding gun owners never commit gun crimes. The issue is individuals, not firearms. What is the value you put on the life of a 14 year old student? Is his life worth the extra expense that the gun owner would have to pay?
Won’t happen. All of these must be turned in and swapped for those with the gun recognition technology.
Oh, I do. The issue of most school shooters has nothing to do with guns or gun available. Out of wedlock birth rates, children raised in single parent homes where the father is either not in the child’s life or a negative influence.Sir, if you don’t want control on guns and you are seriously interested in protecting the lives and the mental well being of young people, I don’t see any other way out except to increase the security at all schools.
Take down the fun free zone signs and allow highly trained school staff to conceal carry.
I went through rather stressful air raid drills as a kid, knowing full well what a nuclear attack meant. I’ve guided children through these drills and was able to minimize the stress. In the meantime, as nothing effective is being done, American students are being traumatized by the increasingly aggressive safety drills across the US schools.
I’ve not seen evidence of this.Already, students are scared and frightened out of their minds that someone will try to shoot them dead, and these safety drills only increase their horror and fright at such a possibility.
