the question should be : is this what Moses needed to know ?Was Moses dumb? You mean God could not have infused this knowledge to Moses?

the point is this : muslims claim science in quran, but the Bible was never intended to be a scientific book…it is a faith book…and no, it is not the Word of God in the islamic sense…that is, it is not a word for word from God’s mouth neither written on a heavenly tablet in heaven…the Bible is the history of God’s interaction with His people people and how they responded to God’s commands, how their perception of him was and how the truth culminated with Jesus.wow nice way of answering my question.
It is interesting that many Muslim members of this forum apply different rules to the Bible and to the Quran. In light of Muslims literal view of the Quran why does the Quran speak of the sun sitting in the mud and other such nonsense? Every new Muslim member of this forum has seemed to try this utterly ignorant attempt to prove to us our “grave error”. If this is the best Muslim apologetics can produce it is no wonder there have always been far more Christians than Muslims.Bukhari:V4B55N546 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Gabriel has just now told me of the answer. If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble him, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her.’”
Qur’an 18:83 “They ask you about Dhu’l-Qarnain [Alexander the Great]. Say, ‘I will cite something of his story. We gave him authority in the land and means of accomplishing his goals. So he followed a path until he reached the setting place of the sun. He saw that it set in black, muddy, hot water. Near it he found people.”
Bukhari:V1B10N510 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘If it is very hot, the severity of the heat is from the raging of the Hell Fire.’”
The Koran is just a wonder of science isn’t it?
I sincerly hope people take note of what inJesus has said here so we can quit correcting this notorious misrepresentation of the Bible by Muslims.the point is this : muslims claim science in quran, but the Bible was never intended to be a scientific book…it is a faith book…and no, it is not the Word of God in the islamic sense…that is, it is not a word for word from God’s mouth neither written on a heavenly tablet in heaven…the Bible is the history of God’s interaction with His people people and how they responded to God’s commands, how their perception of him was and how the truth culminated with Jesus.
Tabari I:332 “The sun and the moon were in eclipse for seven days and nights.”Muslims believe that the Quran is proven to be from God because it has scientifically accurate information about embryology before man discovered it for himself. But all of the information in the Quran about embryology is copied from three sources:
There is not one detail revealed in the Quran about embryology that was not already revealed or known in the time of Muhammed.
- A Greek doctor named Galen, who lived of 150 AD.
- A Jewish doctor named Samuel ha-Yehudi who lived 150 AD.
- the Greek father of medicine Hippocrates who lived 400 BC.
So there was a seven day and seven night eclipse of both the sun and the moon? Thats a major celestial event that would have been witnessed by the astronomers of the day. Let me see if I can find their records somewhere…How do you know that that was not a miracle? Jesus turned water into wine so this does not seem that much different.

There are some things that are meant to be personal…Does this mean what it sounds like???
If so, all my kids should look like me.
Yeap, all the various versions of your Bibles (of which no two are indentical) can never be the Word of God *per se * in any sense. They appear to contain some words about God, wirtten b y mostly UNKNOWN authors, because the people of previous Prophets of God, were so careless for various political and non-political reasons Thus there was a need to send the Final Word of God meant for whole Mankind and that is The Holy Quran.the Bible is the history of God’s interaction with His people people and how they responded to God’s commands, how their perception of him was and how the truth culminated with Jesus.
“And dispute ye not with the people of the book but say: We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and that which came down to you.” Sura Ankabut 29:46Thus there was a need to send the Final Word of God meant for whole Mankind and that is The Holy Quran.
No.There wasn’t ancient giants and people living 900 years?
Maybe not 9 hundred years, but in Biublical times there were. Goliath is part of a family of them. There is scientific evidence of giants in the past and cyclopses. There wasn’t ancient giants and people living 900 years?
Abomination to eat and consume, not in existence and symolism. One example of obvious biblical contradiction.
God had, in the beginning, declared ALL that He had made as GOOD.
(Refer to Genesis.)
Then, shortly thereafter, He decides that certain of his creatures are abominations.
The eagle being one of those. Woa, the National Emblem of the USA and many other nations is an abomination? Thank goodness we don’t eat it, eh?
You know, maybe I can’t be a citizen of a country that exhalts an abomination as an emblem. Whoowee. :whacky:
I can not give equal credence to every line of scripture when it is obvious that there are definate contradictions. Based on this fact, I do not accept that the bible is to be taken literally. Too much of the earliest writings just do not adhere to what we KNOW of reality.
Why teach him something if he had no use for it and no one could understand what he was talking about if he tried to share it. Plus for all we know God did and Moses just didn’t use it when writting something he wanted other people to read and understand. Was Moses dumb? You mean God could not have infused this knowledge to Moses?

Now, Now according to your final holy word, you can’t dispute with us on anything. Wait if our revelation is undisputable according to Allah, why was there need for a final holy word??? Wait, saying that our revelation is undisputable reveals a condradiction in that Jews do not recognize the Christian New Testament. What side is undisputable, the Christians or Jews? Wait you have to agree with both, oh no, you can’t.
