Please do not go into too much abstraction, there are certain tangible things mentioned in the scriptures which might have escaped your attention. To refresh your memory I give here only a few of them which could be seen in the previous posts.
Kindly form your opinion considering the above passages.
Also kindly note that the Protestants are the people who are guided by the HolySpirit, so please keep this also in mind.
Thanks for contributing to this thread intelligently.
Here is my opinion, I don’t belive in wicthcraft, Physics or in fortune tellers, not even "christian fortune tellers"

Christ has died, Christ was risen, Christ will come again.

When asked by the Apostles Jesus said that non but the Father know the day or hour. There will be signs and to to watch and be ready. The book of Relation of St. John gives us insight into what is to happen and what to look for and expect.

It may have already started. It may start tomorrow. It may not start for another 1000 years or more.

Our only command from Christ it to follow him and wait and watch for his return.

Since we are discussing Revelations
I can’t help but wonder what these verses mean then.
Rev 5; 10 “You have made them to be a kingdom and** priests **to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

Does this mean there will be more priest again for the tribes?
Will there be a specific priest for each tribe? or nation?
Will Jesus come and establish his reign as He did with the apostles only ruling everything on earth. Twelve tribes ; twelve apostles? Or is about twelve churches with a head priest of each Church?

Rev 20; 6
“Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first ressurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.”

So does this mean that after Jesus comes there will not be any death of the body, those living will not die?
Also why does there need to be priests again? John seems to be emphasissing this, the ruling of priests, alot throughout revelations. After all standing beside God and Christ, this seems important to the kingdom.

Any idea when Jesus will come and in which denomination/faith/religion; date, month, year ?
How to recognize him?
Jesus returns first for the ones who wait in paradise and then for those who are worthy on earth where there is neither Jew nor gentile or Catholic or Protestant.

I’m a futurist and believe much different than nearly all Protestants and Catholic’s. But I can in a nut shell tell you what I think.
When you see the Arab/Muslim nations in the Middle East form a ten nation confederation. And when you see a Muslim claiming to be Jesus and a man claiming to be the mahdi. And when you see the course of the world drastically change due to WMD’s by Islamic terrorist, start looking up. You will have no problem recognizing Him. He will destroy Islam in righteous anger when He returns in power and great glory.

When the Whore is Judah it’s doubtful she will be aligned with Muslims. A Roman-looking Gentile Giant is the most likely candidate.

Same type of coalition of Jews and Romans that sent Jesus to the cross, the first Antichrist.

Has anyone considered that Jesus has been reigning for the “1,000 years”, in heaven, since His resurrection?

Perhaps the Satan has been recently unchained?

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

Jesus has never returned to fight great armies of the Beast, which takes place before then.

Everyone always tries to make it happen either way ahead or way back in time. I guess most human minds, even of the most devout believers, can’t really grasp the reality and meaning of an Israel restored that again rejects Jesus as its king.

From reading the verse before this I come to the conclusion that here is speaking of those that are killed during the reign of the Anti -Christ for the sake of God and Christ.

Jesus has been reigning in heaven forever. He just had a 33 year pause to come here and redeem us.

Why do you adamently insist that the millenial reign of Christ is or has taken place?

He has not returned to do battle yet to destroy earthly governments and those who destroy the earth. After Armegeddon, Jesus sets up His Kingdom and no sooner!

The battle of Gog and Magog hasn’t happened yet.

What about the beast Jesus conquered that you correctly named earlier?

Luke 21:32 Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place.

Jesus was speaking to the “generation” that heard his words. It is dishonest and inconsistent with the Greek words meaning, to say otherwise.

Is Jesus a false prophet for uttering this? NO!

Jesus executed his judgment on the beast with earthy armies, as God has always done.
Everyone always tries to make it happen either way ahead or way back in time. I guess most human minds, even of the most devout believers, can’t really grasp the reality and meaning of an Israel restored that again rejects Jesus as its king.
I’m not saying that history won’t repeat itself. But, Jesus restored Israel during his first coming. The remnant who accepted him as king where saved, and those who rejected him were destroyed. (The Temple in 70 A.D.)

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

Or the generation that sees the fig tree (Israel/Jerusalem) restored.

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Luke 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Nah. It’s only just begun.

Jesus has been reigning in heaven forever. He just had a 33 year pause to come here and redeem us.

Why do you adamently insist that the millenial reign of Christ is or has taken place?
Because it is TRUE! Christ has conquered the Beast once already, and set up His millenial kingdom. The battle of Gog and Magog will happen at the end of the 1,000 years.
He has not returned to do battle yet to destroy earthly governments and those who destroy the earth. After Armegeddon, Jesus sets up His Kingdom and no sooner!
If this is true, then please explain
Mat 13:24-30 He proposed another parable to them.“The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off. When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well. The slaves of the householder came to him and said, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from?’ He answered, ‘An enemy has done this.’ His slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ He replied, ‘No, if you pull up the weeds you might uproot the wheat along with them. Let them grow together until harvest; then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

If Jesus destroys earthly governments and those who destroy the earth before setting up his kingdom, why do we see the enemies kingdom GROWING along the kingdom of God?

It is because Christ’s Kingdom is here and he is reigning now. Satans kingdom will be destroyed during the battle of Gog and Magog.

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

Hadn’t even happened with Native Americans until a few centuries ago, with other people missionary work is still going on.

Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

So yeah, people were scoffing in Noah’s time too, that it wasn’t coming, then they all got taken away.

Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So don’t fool yourselves.

Was it really conquered or just morphed into another empire(s)?
Both.
Or the generation that sees the fig tree (Israel/Jerusalem) restored.
It has been more than a generation since this happened. What is it 60 some years now?

I’m not saying that the final battle will not center around modern Israel. All I’m saying is we shouldn’t overlook the first fulfillment in 70 A.D.

Jesus uses the phrase “this generation” twenty times. Without exception, it always refers to the people who were alive, listening to him.
Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

DIASPORA

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luke 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

AFTER JERUSALEM DESTROYED, JESUS RETURNS FOR EVERYONE TO SEE, NOT YET
Luke 21:20-24 "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, know that its desolation is at hand. Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. Let those within the city escape from it, and let those in the countryside not enter the city, for these days are the time of punishment when all the scriptures are fulfilled. Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for a terrible calamity will come upon the earth and a wrathful judgment upon this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken as captives to all the Gentiles; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

These details were entirely fulfilled in 70 A.D. So was 25-27.

Psalm 104:3 you raised your palace upon the waters. You make the clouds your chariot; you travel on the wings of the wind. This indicates God’s coming in judgment. Did He physically appear there?

Isaiah 19:1 Oracle on Egypt: See, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud on his way to Egypt; The idols of Egypt tremble before him, the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them. This was fulfilled in Isaiah 20:1-6, yet God did not make Himself visible in any physical manifestation. God’s coming on a cloud was fulfilled in the arrival of the Assyrian army! God gloriously came on the clouds, but what was physically seen was the Assyrian army.

A simiar use of clouds to signify the glory of God in His judgment against Egypt in Ezekiel 3:30 *for near is the day, near is the day of the LORD; a day of clouds, doomsday for the nations shall it be. *

Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Any educated Jew would have understood the Roman destruction of the Temple as the Messiah’s vindication. Since those who heard Jesus make this prophecy were well-versed in Old Testament usage, the advance of the Roman army and its victory over Jerusalem would have been universally understood as the fulfillment of this prophecy. Jesus promised He would come in judgment on His accusers within their lifetime.

We can not ignore this when it comes to the institution of Christ’s Kingdom, and the final coming battle.

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

This is the verse in question in the King James. You really need to pay attention of the context of the passage.

Matthew 13:24 *¶Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 *But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 *But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 *So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 *He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 *But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 *Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Tares are a grain that looks like wheat while growing but when fully grown and ripe they have ears long ears and a black grain that is poisionous. In the Middle East, it was common for an enemy to sow tares in an enemies field to poision or hurt them.
After the sower of the good seed was made aware bad seed was growing among it. He told them to let them grow until the harvest, and then he will send the reapers.

The good seed is the Word of God. The wheat and the tares are people. The harvest and the reapers is when Christ returns with His angels where they will be separated when He gathers His elect. The rest of the parable proves that.

Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is* like **to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32 *Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33 *Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is **like unto **leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

34 *All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 *That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

36 *Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying,
***Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.***37

*He answered and said unto them, *He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;*38 *The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;39 *The enemy that sowed them is the devil;

the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 *As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 *And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 *Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. ( (this is the millennial kingdom).

44 *¶Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 *Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 *Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 *Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
It says preached amont all nations, not published.
Hadn’t even happened with Native Americans until a few centuries ago, with other people missionary work is still going on.
What where the known nations of the world when Jesus said this?

Are the same great buildings in verse 2 still standing?

Had the apostles evangelized to the known nations of the world before the destruction of the Temple?
Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
If you would like me to add to the above post I could.
So yeah, people were scoffing in Noah’s time too, that it wasn’t coming, then they all got taken away.
Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. These verses are refering to Christ’s future coming, and I’m under no delusions.

(Mat 24:4-35) speaks of when the Temple would be destroyed and (Mat 24:36-44) speaks of Christ’s second coming at the end of the world. If you don’t believe me, it is absolutely clear in Luke.

(Luke 21:5-33) speaks of when the Temple would be destroyed and (Luke 17:22-37) speaks of Christ’s second coming at the end of the world. Did you ever notice there are three chapters seperating the answer to these two questions?

I’m more than aware of what these verses are saying.

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

You don’t think Jesus knew there were Native Americans and bushmen yet to hear the Gospel?
Yes I do.

We are talking about two different things here. The destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. is the public sign that Christ had set up His Kingdom.

Christ’s second coming will not be to set up His kingdom, it will be to destroy Satan at the battle of Gog and Magog.

Please explain why Jesus would physically reign for a thousand years on earth, and then allow Satan to launch his final assault?

Peace,

Ryan 🙂

Hi friends Jimmy B,Tietjenand others.

We were discussing from the Bible certain events with figures, name of personalities etc mentioned in and very much in the Bible. I don’t believe that it is a work of wicthcraft or a fortune teller, impossible. If it is to be treated like that, then I think the volume of this Book we say Bible would thin to much lesser extent, may be it is halfed.

Kindly rethink your opinion.

Thanks
**Be a careful (not you specifically), because this is more directed at your comments in general and not at you. **

My response here is for all of the modern (Protestant) Christian “prophets” today who claim to know future events based on their “own” personal interpretation of the Bible and then go on to tell (preach) to others; what they believe.

**People who for instance; who compare current world events against was written in the book of Revelations, or any “prophetic” book of the Bible, are by definition Fortune Tellers and Soothsayers! **
“Fortune Telling” is forbidden in the Bible and by the Roman Catholic Church
