Loving God,

Please bless, have mercy, and strengthen our friend Jim and his wife Elsa as he continues his journey of life and endures the challenges in his health. Please send your comforting and consoling Holy Spirit to be with them and grant them strong faith, courage, and continued hope in You, O Lord. Please help our friend to “beat the odds” in accordance with your Holy and perfect will.

PRAYER FOR HEALING

Merciful God,
we remember before you all who are sick this day.
Give them courage to live with their disease.
Help them to face and overcome their fears.
Be with them when they are alone or rejected.
Comfort them when they are discouraged.
And touch them with your healing Spirit
that they may find and possess eternal life,
now and forever.

Amen.

I pray that something that I say might give comfort or help to build up the faith of others. I am not at all sure of my eternity, as I know but a few of my faults, while the Lord knows them all. I know but some of the Lord’s unfathomable mercy, while he knows all of it. Thus, I continue in fear and trembling, receiving the strength to persevere to the end via the graces called down through your prayers and those of all the faithful. Amen! Alleluia!
