Hi.
Christians do not believe that God revealed any message to Mohammad. Many of the messages brought by Mohammad were either downgrading of what Jesus had revealed or they were just contradicting them. Because of this and when we discern Mohammad’s message we would come to a conclusion that he could not possibly be anyone that came from God that Jesus preached of.
** This is simply prejudiced thinking, unnatural, not universal, not all embracing. If nobody but a special race could get the messages from God then that God was not of all mankind. That God was of a few people only.
Then what right have those few people of one race to start preaching to the whole world. Unjustified.
Jesus was for the jews. He was their saviour, their Messiah. He was not the promised messiah of the whole world. That is a fact known to every one. So remember Jesus for the Jews only.
Then double standard due to prejudice. An angel visits Joseph the carpentar and gives him a message. Christians believe that. But if an angel brings any message to Muhammad they do not believe that.
The world’s problems had not come to an end with the arrival of Jesus. Jesus left telling every one about the coming of a Comforter. he said that he had many things tosay but could not do it, Some one will come and lead the people. That means the mission is not completed.
Similarly, in Deut 18:18, there is a clear need for some one to come after Moses and he would be a man like Moses. There is a need for some law giving prophet to come after Moses a.s.
But the church denies everything. The burden is on the church.**
That’s right, Jesus had already fulfilled his mission. There is nothing new to add to what already revealed. In any case, anything else other than the Gospel is simply inferior, so to speak. So we have to reject them and Mohammad falls into this category.
Jesus felt that he had more to say but could not do it then. That means his mission was not complete because the ones for whom he came rejected him. He was badly rejected. Only saved by the Grace of Allah from an ignominous death on the cross.
This is a misnomer actually. Islam is never close to Judaism or Christianity. Those purported similarities are merely claims and they are just that. What it is trying to do is to rewrite Judaism and Christianity - that’s why if we look closely there are so many contradictions rather than similairties between Islam and Judaism/Christianity.
That is what you think. It is a religion in line with the Abraham’s strict Unitarian faith, the same as the Jews. Only the church is odd one out, Sailing on two boats at once..
I can understand you feel that way. It’s good to look further into Islam in order to know it better and see how it can never be similar to either Judaism or Christianity.
**If you disown us then we are also not very anxious to own you. You say funny things. Sometimes you say Muslims do not worship same God as you do. Then you believe in three gods in one god. And so many other impossible things about Jesus status.
That he was a man and a son of man and a god and a son of a god all at the same time. And a god and a prophet of god too. Quite impossible, all that mixture. And Jesus was the son of a woman (That is the most true statement and Quran has used that.) Jesus was the son of a man and the son of a woman.
You see how many complications you have to mislead the people? Jesus said about himself that he was the son of a man and people also thought him to be biological son of Joseph. But you peopel think they were joking. Jesus and the people were just joking and not telling the truth. **
