You have called women “whores” and disabled people “retards”. Those are words that are not used by those with intelligence and compassion.

I am a severely “deformed” person. In fact, if I were born 100 years ago I may have ended up in a sideshow. I take great offense at your language, as to parents of girls, and parents of those with intellectual disabilities.
 
I used that word to describe promiscuous women. For your sake, I will clean up my language.

Who defines what is ‘useful’? Who defines what is ‘good for society’.

Without absolute defintions , utilitarianism is meaningless.

If morality is defined as ‘the greatest good for society’ that is a subjective definition, not an objective one.

If a popular political leader is in need of a heart transplant, and the only compatible donor is a stay at home mom who is quite alive and healthy. Is the ‘greatest good’ that this statesman lives and continues their work for the country, the politicians constituents might think so. Or is the ‘greatest good’ that this stay at home mom live and take care of her children. The woman’s family might think so.

So how is the ‘greatest good’ determined. Who decides?

Who knows which ‘deformed’ child will grow up to discover the inexpensive cure for cancer or aids?
 
Or the deformed child will simply grow up to be a regular Joe, trying their best to get to Heaven. Either way, they are still valuable.

One of the best answers I’ve read… I feel so sorry for the disabled who keep asking themselves, “What good am I? and Why was I born, for this???”
 
Once upon a time I asked myself the philosophical (not theological) question , “What is the meaning of life?” The thought came to me that life itself is the meaning of existence, such a rare and unique manifestation in the Universe, to be valued above all else, to be protected and nourished simply because it is intrinsically good.
And now I understand that it is our God’s greatest gift to us.
 
I’m against abortion. Even more because I’m infertile and it insults my intellect how people just decide to kill their babies (especially repeat offenders for “family planning purposes”)

Recently though, one of my good friends had an abortion because her baby tested positive for a chromosomal defect. I gave her a piece of my mind, but at the end of the day, we agreed to disagree. It’s interesting though her (and many others) think it’s the compassionate choice because the baby is likely to suffer when born and will not even make it 24 months. It’s also very possible that the baby could be still born.

If in this happens to me, personally, I don’t think it’s for me decide if it’s time to do the procedure. Then again, if the baby is bound to suffer, is that the selfish, unreasonable route?

Then again, miracles can happen .
