The Catholic church is a very large church.
Now, google “anglican” “church” “scandals” and you’ll see that, surprise surprise, there’s a lot going on in the Anglican church.
Do the same for “lutheran”, “baptist”, “mormon”, etc.
Now do a google for “sex scandal” in “public schools”. Hey whoa howdy–stunningly FAR MORE CHILDREN have been MOLESTED in the public school system than by R.C. priests–and a lot more recently, too.
So, knowing that any church has as members both the good and the bad–saints and sinners–and knowing that any non-church group ALSO has good and bad within it–
just what point are you trying to make? It appears to me that since you joined this morning you have been all over the apologetics boards on the various threads saying basically that the church teaches false things about Mary, that it’s not a “true church”, that people within it “need to find God”. Now that’s your prerogative as an individual, to speak your opinions, but rather than play “gotcha” all over the place, why not start a thread of your own. Obviously, you have questions (and misconceptions) about the Catholic church. You could ask (if you were willing to LISTEN TO people) about the church. You could study (people have given you various sources for you to examine) and then get back to them after informing yourself.
But if all you’re here for is to give your opinion AS TRUTH and then argue all refutations, or change the topic and then argue THAT opinion, it’s going to get old REAL fast.
Dialogue has to be between two people. I’ve seen a lot of people who are willing to talk WITH you, but you have to be willing to talk WITH them–not AT them. And until you actually listen to and work with the people who are TRYING to talk WITH you, you’re not going to accomplish anything. . .IMO.
