kk what i ment was the catholic church appers to have more problems than others

sorry it came out wrong i did not mean that the true church has no sinners

i take back that statement
:o
As well you should take back that statement.

The Catholic Church is huge, therefore the appearances are deceiving.

The Charistmatic “Bible-believing” church I was once apart of covered up a child-molestation scandal right after I left the church. But it was a singular, stand-alone church. As was the Pentecostal church I attended before that which shipped off it’s youth pastor for “councilling” after it was found out he was molesting little boys as well.

Problems? Absolutely. But by no means a Catholic problem alone.

well my mum was a catholic and was a very involved she was going to become a nun

she became a christain and she has told me how becomeing a christain has changed her
I have spoken to some who have said the same, they were Catholics and then “got saved”. As the son of a Baptist minister I know exactly what they are talking about, an experience, an experience of personal faith in Jesus Christ.

It is very reassuring because they are taught that it is like an insurance policy, you buy and are covered from then on. Only one problem. It is not Scriptural.

I sympathize with your mother. And I am glad that someone cared enough for her to lead her to Jesus Christ. What I am sad about is that Jesus was there all the time in the Catholic Church, and somehow she was not properly taught, or led to Him.

There are many of us in the Church who will have much to answer for if we do not actively guide those who do not understand into the light of the Truth of God’s love. We can only blame ourselves when people have to leave the Church to find Jesus.

God bless you and your mother, and I hope you will someday see that the fullness of the knowledge of Jesus Christ is in the Catholic Church, even if by times it can be obscured by sinners.

Sorry about that.

I’m not sure how but that got sent twice.

The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for the saved.

If you are out to take Catholics away from the church by re-hashing the abuse issue (which we get quite enough of in the secular media, thank you), then you’re in the wrong place.

When does it end? I don’t see the end in sight given the recent Dallas Morning News series about bishops enabling and protecting abusers in South America, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. That’s happening right now.

I wonder when it started. How long have the bishops been playing this game?

Hey did you ever find that scripture that says all sin is equal yet?

ACtually your Bible is short 7 books…since the reformers took them out. Guess that makes it easier for you to look things up 😃

ACtually I know that…my point is your Bible has been edited, and is short by 7 books thanks to the reformers who removed those books…hmmmm what’s the Bible say about that?

they had a just reson to do so i would think…
Really? So what was it? What gave man the authority to remove the Word of God?

And Protestants cry out loud for adding/substracting Sacred Scriptures (even though the quote (from Rev) is completely out of context – John was saying the about adding/substracting the things he witnessed in Rev!). What a double standard! What a self-contradiction!

Oh, and I forgot… who add the word “alone” in “you are saved by faith, not by works [alone]”? The big L himself!

I’ll tell you what their “just reason” is: to justify their cause in separating from Rome, to eliminate possible contradiction in their newfound doctrine Sola Scriptura, that’s what!

Actually from the Bible, you can deterine that sexual abuse has existed for thousands of years and given the nature of sin and sinner, probably will exist until the end of time.

Now the current scandal is a offshoot from the Culture of Hedonism & Death that dominates secular media. People will continue to be lead astray from the Truth and God into these horrible acts.

As long as society is a ceaspool of immorality, it will creep into the Church by corrupting members of the Church.

:gopray2: I am praying for strong charismatic spokeman for the Church to preach (like Fulton Sheen did) against this Culture of Hedonism & Death and for the Culture of Life. Please join in with me for praying for this. :gopray2:

:rotfl: Really!! What just reason is there to edit the Word of God? There was no just reason. Just inflated egos of men that thought they knew more than God.
