Lovely! I would love to get some poppies. Did you get those as plants or grow from seed?

This is my favor hobby since I retired.
I grow spong quash [luppa], winter squash, Swiss chards, silver sweet worm woods, holly mint basil, stinging nestles, red mint, onion, garlic, Mexican oregano, water crest and a lot of Hawaii purple yams.

White holly hocks and sweet beans are only flowers I grow. Dont know why red holly hocks grew in the garden this year! I missed sweet beans this year, too late to grow them now. The sweet worm woods give pretty flowers under holly hocks, both are tall.

Plan to grow many poppy flowers this year.

We just planted tomatoes peppers and the herbs I use (basil oregano and parsley)

Then on the patio I got 2 lovely lavendar plants (my favorite for drying)
White and purple petunias, daisies and pink geraniums. My rose bush just keeps going.

The border of our garden in front is mixed impatients. The porch has peonies because I will cut them to go with the hydrangea
They are charming in the house.

My friend grow potatoes with straw hill line, about 15" tall. It is easy to harvest.

I used to have about 250lbs of purple yams in the good year. It is very expensive in Japanese supermarkets! Yam tastes like cake. Their leaves taste like spinach, nothing waste for this plant, and again only the high middle class can afford in Far East. With a small lot like in the picture, it is worthy.

Holy basil mints are for cholesterol without side affect like statin drugs. Spong quash could help to prevent colon cancer, the old fruits are used for cleaning. Stinging nestles and watercress are for extra vitamins. Mexican oregano is to
ward off acid reflux… I eat about 2.5 lbs vegetables a day.

Thanks the Lord.
