Paul Krugman and the New York Times are the primary cheerleaders for the “Sarah Palin is responsible for the shootings in Tucson” narrative. Paul Krugman has credibility only with the far left . Most people view him as a prime example of why the once great New York Times has lost the respect of most people in America.Yes. He is saying that the first assumption he (along with many people from all over the political spectrum) made was that this shooting was political, not that the shooting actually was. He later admits that the the shooter is mentally unstable by saying:
“It’s true that the shooter in Arizona appears to have been mentally troubled. But that doesn’t mean that his act can or should be treated as an isolated event, having nothing to do with the national climate.”
which is the closest he comes to explicitly implicating Republicans for this particular event.
