Yes, of course she would have the right to do that if senior members of the Church, such as those at the Vatican, began sending death threats to those who draw pictures of Jesus. If top Cardinals began whipping women, and pushing homosexuals off the top of the basilica. She would have every right to condemn the Vatican in such a case as she does in condemning ISIS or taliban, or boko haram, or the MB, or whoever is in leadership of any given sect within Islam.

Pamela Geller has not been known to shoot or hit anyone, as far as I know. Standing against violence is what is begetting violence toward her, and hatred against her.

Yes, I agree there is inconsistency, moreover, I deplore any and all inflammatory statements that obfuscate rather than elucidate.

As someone who has been watching Islamism for a while now, I can tell you that for the most part, education is strongly forbidden in Islam, as it is viewed as ‘westernization’… So the only elucidating that can legally be done in many Islamist States is the teaching of the Koran.

Furthermore, Islamists are not to have free will either, as it is taught that there is only Allahs will. So there is no getting through. They reject having their own conscience over this religious ideology… That’s why so many million of them are for killing anyone who converts from islam, because they have no conscience… Thats why there are so many terrorists, because they have no conscience… And its why ISIS can cut off so many heads. No conscience.

Perhaps some people will never understand that when an evil ideology assimilates with religion, completely and inseparably, there will come problems for that religion. It is inevidable, but very real at the same time.

People can take a stand against Islamism without necessarily agreeing with every aspect of Robert Spencer’s and/or Pamela Geller’s approach/arguments against Islam.

Most certainly.Let Pamela Geller be Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer be Robert Spencer, and recognize that they are taking the same stand against the evil of militant Islam that we all need to be, in our own way.
What is important is to realize that we are all working for the same goal, and the people who are not are real enough too.

But I do agree that those who disagree in totality with Robert Spencer and/or Pamela Geller’s views of Islam are in denial and dangerous (not intentionally so).

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer have been banned from certain countries. The message of ISIS comes out loud and clear everywhere, and the message of the harshest critics of ISIS is that this is what those countries are more uncomfortable with.

It is the racism of low expectations to be so fearful of the Islamist message that regular Muslims will be drawn to the ISIS message because they hear people make the case against militant Islam too forcefully, and react violently as a result of that offense.

That is the nature of the fear that is driving people against Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller being allowed to speak.

In another sense, which one can see from the video from Brooklyn University, those who downplay the atrocities of Islamism effectively normalize the violence… When we say “what did you expect when offending islam -of course they will come after you”, we are normalizing violence. It sends the message to future generations that they should respect Islam or face violence. After several generations more, what on earth do they expect the outcome to be…? Of course, people will convert to Islam to be on the ‘winning’ team. This is how the trend works. Its intimidation to conversion.

The reason why it is improper to describe Islamic jihad as a conversion by the sword is because conversion was never the goal. As long as Christians submitted to the authority of Allah, through submission to the caliph and his Islamic representatives, it was fiscally better for the caliphs to charge the higher tax rate to the people of the book. Ultimately though, the less devout would find it more beneficial to pay the lower rate too, say the magic formula, and presto, the caliph would need to call a new jihad to conquest more land, and more taxes thereby.

There certainly has been that parasitic aspect to Islam, and once expansion into new territory was stopped by the Western surge, the House of Islam has become very weak indeed.

Islam is an Arab religion, and Arabs are traditionally a marauding people, much like the Apaches were. The values of Islam are the values of the raid.
Of course, expansion brought Arabs into contact with very spiritually sophisticated people, and those values came to a position of influence too, but this is not the roots of Islam. The roots of Islam are Arab, the values of nomadic raiders, who thrive off of the success of their settled neighbours, namely the Christians and the Jews.
