The purpose of the Hebdo cartoons was mockery.

The purpose of the Dallas conference was to insist on free speech, and to show that killing cartoonists will not work against Americans who have a passion for free speech.
There was no mockery in the caricatures. There is no mockery in Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. There is however plenty of anger at anyone who would dare to intimidate a free people from speaking their minds.

Pamela Geller does not submit to the false prophet of Islam.
Do you?

So if one thinks her contest was tasteless that means we are submitting to the false prophet of Islam? I haven’t seen anyone in this thread sayb she didn’t have every right to hold this contest . I haven’t seen anyone suggest it should be illegal to draw cartoons of Mohamed . However just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should

No.
That is not what I asked.

I stated clearly that Pamela Geller does not submit to the false prophet of Islam. She does not submit to the idea that we are to follow the tenets of Islam upon pain of death.

Pamela Geller does not submit to the tenets of Islam.

Do you?

…So then there is no way to stop Islamists then… We cannot fight them, we cannot insult them, we cannot do anything except hold our heads out and offer them our throats in submission. Just shut up and take it, while half-hearted military missions do their acting.

Not me! I’m ready to fight now.

The question was not really directed at estebob.

It was generic and openly questions how much respect a false prophet merits from our societies.
It is not blasphemy. It is not illegal, and given the attack on our freedom, and the propensity for Muslims to see Mohammed as a role model, it is NECESSARY to be able to criticize this false prophet of Islam.

People are dying because of Muslims following the example and the words of their prophet. What is really poisoning the well in that debate are people who reduce the argument to a question of what is in good taste, as if little Miss Manners ought to be the person advising us.

Pamela Geller is not the only one angry about this attack on our freedom in the name of Mohammed, and people who insist on pointing out that Pamela Geller is using the wrong fork are apt to get steamrollered.

They will not stop. What do we do, just take it until theyre they’re finished?

…When will they be finished?

This is like cultural rape, what the Islamists are doing. And we’re told to keep quiet about it.

Pamela Geller stands up for individual freedoms.

There are stacks of information miles high it seems on this issue.

They will not be ‘finished’ until the society they rape becomes impregnated with the seeds of their hate. Until Wilayah is accomplished.

…You know, when I researched the beginnings of the crusades, I always found it odd that ancient documents claimed that Christians were being “molested” on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land… A strange choice of words, I remember thinking. I think I’m beginning to understand something about the ancient ‘Mohammedens’ aka Islamists.

A MESSAGE TO POPE FRANCIS:

Just a suggestion, but wouldn’t it be something if there was a global Mass for indulgence, where all the sins of the world could be forgiven all at once if a single pennitential prayer was said at one time in unity. At the same time, all Catholics could pray in unity for all non-Catholics, as a communal blessing of the world.

…And during that day, all Catholics could recieve the holy Eucharist in Full Communion. And all sins of the world would be forgiven, by us at least if not more. Like a reset button.

…The Christians from the ME, could be the guests of honor at this global event, and every so often afterwards, there could be a global jubilee inspired by this spirit… Catholics would be inspired to flock to Rome, and it could be a huge event.

Mothers day next year…! 🤷

No I don’t. But not supporting the tenets of Islam does not mean I have to support Pamela Geller . I also don’t support homosexual marriage but that doesn’t mean I have to support the Westborough Baptist Church -who also have every right to do what they do

That is the British point of view.

Of course Britain is where terrorists who bomb airplanes full of people are shown compassion and released to the Middle East to heroes welcome.

Those who are kind to the cruel will be cruel to the kind. That is the Jewish axiom that describes what Britain has now become.

The two differences between your analogy is that nobody is shooting at Westborough Church members for their hate, and the fact that Pamela Geller is in no way on the level of repugnance that Westboro is. The British may disagree with that last point, but at least the Norwegians and the French are on board.

A closer analogy would be Hamas blowing up a Jewish discotheque and ardent Catholics stating how uncomfortable they are with the fact that there were teenagers twerking in that nightclub before it was blown up.

The fact that people are being shot at, being maimed, and are dying, really does change everything.

What would suggest as we do to stop this cultural rape?
We start with the global indulgence festival, and give it 12 years to soak in…

…But if the Church rejects my request, we are left with Pamela Geller and others like her.

Again you erroneously conflate supporting their right to do it with whether or not it is appropriate to do so . The Norwegian recindijg their law on blasphemy in no way indicates their support for mocking Islam

So you were suggesting the church give indulgences for mocking Islam??? Pamela Geller has done absolutely nothing to advance the dialogue between Christians and Muslims-in fact she has made it more difficult. I expect her to start showing up at Muslim funerals carrying a sign that said God hates Muslims

No, no and no again. Thank you and have a nice day.
