Well we have seen how Catholic governments have functioned in history…
Thanks for the reference. I must point out that the Church here gives different definitions for the two words in question. The teaching of the Church is that fornication is included under the sixth commandment “Thou shalt not commit adultery”.
Right, not on the same level, but both bad and prohibited.TY. That is a good point. I pefer to take my perspective from the OT where YHWH goes to great lengths to define what constitutes legitimate sexual conduct in the hundreds of Laws that He gave to Moses as well as in many illustrative stories… Fornication and prostitution are mentioned, but are not condemned in the same way that having sexual relations with another man’s wife is.
Just like how we punish drug users but let the dealers go free. For this reason, I do not support laws that punish the prostitutes. I do support what they’re doing in Sweden by punishing the clients.
God’s revelation to which religion/denomination?You can’t have truly good laws without it being based on God’s revelation somehow.
Not aware of any law which mandates that.Just like how we punish drug users but let the dealers go free.
:woman_facepalming:Yep. Because those forced or tricked into sex trafficking are always the ones to blame.
Especially if they are forced or manipulated into it as children. Yep, definate perpretrators there!![]()
I’m sure I could find a case somewhere out there of someone being coerced into being a john. That doesn’t mean that declaring johns generally to be the real victims of prostitution would be a rational thing to do.Yep. Clearly, the pimps and johns are the real victims here, right?![]()
There is only one God, and he has only revealed Himself fully in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus has fully deposited his teachings in the Catholic Church.God’s revelation to which religion/denomination?
Kay. Good luck forcing our doctrine on the other 6+ billion humans who don’t buy it.There is only one God, and he has only revealed Himself fully in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus has fully deposited his teachings in the Catholic Church.
Who said anything about forcing anything? About anyone not buying it? God doesn’t force his revelation. Catholics can create their own state and those who choose to live there can.Kay. Good luck forcing our doctrine on the other 6+ billion humans who don’t buy it.
Again, good luck with that.Catholics can create their own state and those who choose to live there can.
